I flip the page of the spell book, trying to soak in the information before my arrival at Hogwarts. Everybody laughs and giggles in groups as I sit alone, reading. I would lie if I say that I wasn't humiliated.

A group of boys talk their way into the booth across from mine. One particular boy caught my eye. His hair was silver blond, his frosty eyes gleamed with humor as him and his friends talked. His friend nudged the icy boy with his elbow and pointed to me. Feeling embarrassed, I swiftly looked down at my book and pretended to not care. I could hear the muffled laughs and jumbled words, my intrusive thoughts fills my head in a millisecond.

They're not laughing at me are they?

Perhaps sitting alone and eyeing a guy wasn't the most smartest thing to do as a person who was outcasted in another school. With a lot of courage, I lift my head up and look at the platinum boy and notice that him and his crew are all wearing their uniforms with the snake symbol on it.

I'm in the same house as them.

I thought to myself.

"She's seriously not reading alone is she?"

I faintly hear as I pretend to read my spell book.

"I never saw her before."

I hear another slytherin boy say.

"pretty pathetic."

I hear a boy spat.

Although I was used to petty talk, my head whipped up. The platinum boy who I had my eyes on was the one who commented on being pathetic. I look at him dead in the eye with a cold stare. The boy responds by looking at me with a grin that reeked of sister, making me slightly worry.

I look back down and sigh.

Can't wait to get mistreated again.

new place, old me.

I look at the the badge on my uniform.

Why can't I be a hufflepuff? I can just tell that they're much nicer.

I snap out of my thoughts when a smiling man with a yellow tie comes
in.

"can I help you?"

I ask politely.

"You're Celeste Saloux right?"

the boy says with a warm smile, proving my previous point that hufflepuffs are nicer.

"I'm Cedric Diggory, I'm suppose to show you around Hogwarts."

Cedric says as he flips his yellow scarf away from him face.

I return a smile and shake his warm hand.

"nice to meet you, Cedric."

I say just as I end the handshake.

"I'm guessing that a person from Slytherin will show me around the common room and dorms?"

I ask.
