Beginning bade

Chapter 3

Beck hadn't been able to talk to jade in almost a week since he'd learned her name on the first day because he rarely saw her and even when he did she was always busy or being babbled at by cat

One day in the middle of the second week he finally found her alone and not busy at her locker before lunch started

"So how ya gonna decorate your locker?" He asked waking over to her from his locker which he'd already finished

Her locker had been fully painted black and now had a bit of pencil on it as if to mark spots where things would go

She slammed the door shut and gave him a look to say "you should've said nothing and just ignored me"

Most guys would've been terrified by this glance but not beck. Beck loved when she glared at him because it gave him an excuse to look into her deep blue eyes

"Why do you keep going out of your way to talk to me?" She finally asked, crossing her arms and leaning against the closed locker

He had been trying to think of a way all week to tell her he thought she was gorgeous and maybe even ask her out so he took took the opportunity he had right in front of him

"Well uh I think you're really pretty" he saw a small smile overtake her face for a split second before quickly frowning again "and I was wonderi-"

"Liar" she cut him off with a firm tone

He was taken aback. He hadn't expected he to take the compliment well or say thank you but he sure as hell didn't expect her to accuse him of lying

"Someone probably dared you to say that or paid you" she continued

"No, no I really do like you and I wanna take you on a date?" He asked still slightly hopeful

"God you're just like the other kids"

"What other kids?" He questioned still completely lost. The only kids he had seen her talk to all week were himself and cat

"Nothing just forget it" she said he voice breaking slightly and quickly opening her locker again so she didn't have to look at him and he couldn't look at her either

"Hey hey it's ok I'll drop it Alright?" He wanted to wrap his arms around her and kiss her and tell her everything would be ok

But he couldn't. Not yet at least

"Wanna come to lunch with me and Andre?" He tried. This whole week he had been with Andre and sometimes Robbie since he didn't have anyone else to hang out with

The three of them always ate lunch together outside at the asphalt cafe and sometimes that girl cat would be skipping by and then just decide to sit down with them and they just left it

She slowly shut her locker a bit so she could look at him and bit her bottom lip anxiously. She looked like she wanted to say no but she knew that Andre was definitely nice and beck seemed nice for the moment so she reluctantly agreed

Well y'all I'm not used to writing story books so I already know imma have plot holes and I apologize deeply for them this is also moving very slow so just hang in there

Also the way I've set this up I already know there's gonna have to be a sequel so get excited if you wanna
