Beginning bade

Chapter 9

Beck stood on her front porch and hesitantly rang her door bell. He wasn't sure why he felt nervous.

Beck Oliver does not get nervous.

Ever

After he rang he took a step and stuck his hands deep into his jeans pockets to wait for her to open the door

Through the door he could hear her come clobbering down the stairs and towards the door

When she opened the door she flashed him s small smile. He didn't reply or even respond because he just couldn't take his eyes off of her

She never wore stuff like this to school, she usually wore jeans and loose tank tops never skirts. He loved the way he tight shirt tucked into her skirt accentuated her waist

She looked even more gorgeous than she did at school if that was even possible

"You ready to go?" He asked a little more confidently. Maybe he was worried that her dad would answer and then he'd have to talk to him. Luckily he didn't

"Let's go" she said stomping down the stairs and onto the sidewalk towards and bus stop

They'd need to take a bus to get to the ice cream place from jades house but becks house was a 15 minutes walk from jades and a 7 minute walk from the diner

They walked towards the bus stop in silence and it pulled up within seconds so they quickly paid and got on

Jade say In the window seat anxiously playing with her rings to calm her nerves. She hadn't had good experience with dates in the past at all so she was really really hoping this one would go well

"That's a cool necklace" he said gesturing to the scissor one and finally breaking the silence

"It's my favourite"

"I can tell" he chuckled a bit. He had noticed over the last few weeks how much she loved scissors: her locker, the fact she always carried a pair, the necklace

"You gonna get the same flavour as last time?" He asked still trying to keep up the conversation

"Yeah I always get the same flavour chocol-

"Chocolate raspberry"

"You remembered?"

Beck gave her a sheepish grin and ran his hand through his hair "Yeah". He hasn't been able to forget "you remember mine?"

"Rocky road the worst flavour on earth"

Beck stuck out his bottom lip to pout at her "what's wrong with my favorite flavour?"

"It's a disaster. Choose chocolate or almonds or marshmallow but don't mix them it just tastes stupid"

She had a point

"Fine then what do I get"

She studied him a second before finally figuring it out

"Chocolate"
"But that's boring"

They started arguing a bit about whether chocolate was a good flavour and they continued while getting off the bus and going into the diner

Eventually beck just gave in and got chocolate and she got the same as last time

They spent almost an hour sitting and talking just like last time about the scissoring and school and the projects

After they were done he really didn't want it to be over so quick and he really wanted to spend more time with her so he quickly thought up a way to finish the date

"Wanna go back to my place- I mean like just hang-not anything else" he realized half way through that his plan didn't sound promising and he sounded like a jerk trying to get her in bed

She watched him continue to stutter and panic for a while before finally giving in

She considered it for minute because most of the time you don't go to their house on the first date but he was a gentle man so she figured it would be fine

His place was so close to the diner it only took a few moments but they just continued their conversation about school on the way

When they got there jade stopped in confusion for a second because all there was was an RV

"You live here?"

Beck grinned at her "yep pretty cool huh? I moved out before school started this year"

"Interesting"

Beck was glad he had tidied up before he left because when they walked in it was still spotless like he had left it

"Here uh I got you something" he said oddly shyly holding out a black pair of scissors he had found at the store

Jade didn't know what to say cause this was probably the nicest thing any one had ever done let alone a date

She timidly took them out of his hand and stared at them "thanks"

They spent another hour watch g a movie at his RV and then he walked jade home because he didn't want her walking home alone in the dark

"I had a lot of fun" he told her grinning

"Me too" she admitted after a pause

"I'll see you at school" he said quickly giving her a kiss on the cheek before she could react he turned around to walk home feeling extremely confident he and done well

It was little rushed but also really long so :)
