Beck woke up quickly on Saturday with a good feeling. Maybe today would be the day that she'd accept his many offers

He'd woken up way earlier than he needed to so he got ready slowly and took a quick shower. Once he was done he dried off and picked out his jeans with a yellow and black flannel and a grey tank top underneath

On his way out he grabbed his debit card and some bus money before jogging down to the bus stop closest to his house

They'd agreed that they would see a movie at 11 first and the theatre was only a twenty minute bus ride but he was still one of the last ones there apart from Robbie who complained that Rex made him late

He looked over at jade who was wrapped in a black cardigan, obviously cold with a small black wallet in her hand

"You look really pretty" he complimented smiling and leaning over to her a bit

She almost didn't respond but the look in his eyes made her soften a bit and made her want to say something nice to him but she wouldn't do that so she just accepted the compliment a gave a small weak smile

Something about the way his smile really looked sincere and not like other high school guys'. He looked like he really did mean what he said and it made her feel a little bit special

Once Robbie finally arrived they all got some popcorn and Sodas before walking over to the movie that of course jade had picked. Cat had called her bossy and said she wanted a princess movie, Andre and Robbie really didn't want to try to change her mind and beck was the only one who didn't mind the movie she chose.

He liked that she took charge and didn't back down against her choice

She wasn't easy

Jade chose the scissoring

The movie completely terrified cat to point where she started crying. Robbie was a mess as well but he didn't cry he just squealed if there was a jump scare or gore. Andre tried to act all tough and fine but he was a bit of an internal disaster and beck was the only one aside from jade who didn't get scared and kept a straight face

Cat was still crying when the movie was over and wouldn't stop so Andre suggested that they all get ice cream at the little diner down the street. They all agreed and started to walk

Andre lead the way, cat and Robbie we're behind him and Robbie was awkwardly trying to comfort her and beck and jade were about a meter behind all of them so beck tried to start a conversation

"What kinda ice cream are you gonna get? I'll probably get rocky road"

"Dark chocolate raspberry."

He wasn't thrilled that she had barely answered but it was still an answer none the less so he took it

After everyone had chosen their ice cream and had almost finished cat jumped up and said her mom was already here because they needed to take her brother someplace so she left, shortly followed by Andre who needed to help his grandmother so the only people left were Robbie, beck and jade. Robbie looked nervous and uncomfortable so he quickly made an excuse about needing to take Rex shopping and scurried off leaving beck and jade alone together

Beck could tell that jade desperately wanted to leave so he quickly struck up a conversation about the scissoring. After she told everyone the movie she chose and said it was her favorite beck went home and looked up a bunch of facts and random things about it so they would have something to tell about in case he got the chance

"Hey did you know that the director who directed the scissoring also directed the horror on birch wood street?" He asked quickly before she could run

"No. That's pretty cool I guess"

They say In the diner and talked for almost two hours. Jade started out barely answering but little by little she started to open up and really have fun and by the end she was laughing with him

It felt nice for her to finally have a friend. She'd never had many friends growing up so this must be what it felt like. Someone you laugh with and share ice cream and just have fun with.

You forget about everything else in life and the only thing that matters is he person you're with

Maybe she'd keep him around

By the time he has gotten home and collapsed into bed there was a big grin on his face because he's finally done it. He'd finally had a real conversation with her that wasn't just one sided.

He felt very accomplished

I hate English homework. I've been trying to do it for the past 4 hours but my attention span sucks
