"When I walk in the training room I walk straight to the archery area that no one goes to "Why doesn't anyone practice archery?"
"Because no one knows how to really, and the few who do, suck. Archery is irrelavent in our time if you ask me." Kai says as he shoots a pistol at a still target
"I know how" I pick up the high tech bow and draw an arrow. I breath in and release the arrow as I exhale, sending the arrow straight and hitting the bullseye.
"20 bucks you cant hit that exact spot" Some random kid holds up 20 dollars in a stack.
"Betting is for las vegas but..ok your on" I draw back another arrow and release, not only hitting the same spot but splitting the first arrow in half.
Blackhearts voice rings over an intercom "Training is over, you may now have the next hour for free time before lunch"
"Keep the 20 dollars. You're gonna need it" I set the bow down and walk out with Corey, Kai, Ian, and Jack.
"That was amazing!!" Ian jumps up and down
"jeez calm down. It was just a robin hood"
"Who's that?" Jack asks
"are you kidding me?" Jack shakes his head and I sit down on a bench "gather round children, it's story time!" All the guys sit down cross-legged "ok so robin hood was an outlaw from Nottinghamshire who'd rob the rich and give it to the poor. Now my shot was called a Robin hood because Robin hood was an exellent archer himself. Nobody knows if hes a real person or fictional character because all of the documentation of history before us was destroyed in world war 8, when all of the country's sent nuclear bombs at each other and wiped out almost all of the country. They say..only a total of 5 people survived that catostrophic event"
"Woah....." All of the guys say at the same time
"Is that the only thing in a guys vocabulary?" We all laugh when Blackhearts voice sounds over an intercom again
"Everyone report to the announcment hall immediately" I follow the boys to a large empty room with a podium in the middle and to seats of bleachers on each side "Hello everyone now I'm sure you've all met Tia Rose, our new female member and I feel that she joined at the best time" Blackheart pauses "Because in 2 days is the cities annual masquerade ball, where no one will be recognized and this year the all girls rebellion from two towns over is going to attend. Now if you don't have a date with a girl yet, I'm sure that all of those girls are eager to be on one of your arms"
"This sounds crazy" I whisper to Corey who nods
"Now that is all, please go spend the rest of your day freely" We all file out but I'm pulled aside "Runner, do you have a dress for the ball?" Blackheart asks
"Um no ma'am, I've never been out in the city that much so I never went"
"Well that's going to change in 2 days. Here's an address for a great store, take a friend or friends and go get a dress. Oh! make sure the boys have tuxes also"
"Yes ma'am" I bow my head and exit the hall
"What was that about?" Corey asks
"She wants me to go buy a dress and you guys tuxedos"
"Lets go!" Ian and kai say at the same time. Corey and Jack nod
"Then lets go! The shop is right down the main road"
