Nico woke up with a start. He couldn't remember where he was. Ever since the war with Gaea, his strength had been draining out and his form kept dissolving from time to time.
Nico looked around and saw a group of dryads and nymphs. He flinched and reached for his Stygian iron sword but realised he had nothing since he left his cabin in a hurry to help Will in the infirmary. Nico wanted to cry again at the thought of that but decided to push the thought away. He had to get out of there first, but didn't know how. Chiron had warned all campers not to wander around the forbidden parts of the woods but foolish Nico was too lost in his sorrow he couldn't remember any deathly warnings.
If only Will were here, thought Nico again.
The crowd grew bigger and closer towards Nico and the young boy felt so helpless. One spirit, who seemed to be the leader, floated forward, about half a feet away from Nico and said, "You arrived about an hour ago and fell asleep in our woods. We won't harm you, mortal, but don't ever come back to the woods again...Tell your friends about this and if any of the campers are found straying around these parts, we will show no mercy, human", and all the spirits started vanishing slowly, one after another.
Nico held his breath for a very long time and felt even more tired than he ever was before. He had to get out of there as soon as possible. He wondered if the camp knew about his disappearance and if there were half-bloods out there looking for him, if there was Will. There was that thought again..."I need to stop depending on him", chided Nico to himself. The son of Hades was a very indulgent person, when one would show so little kindness, he would think they're the protagonists of the world.
One part of Nico thought, Will is a good guy.
He searched for a way out and wandered further into the clearer paths. He'd never explored Camp Half-Blood before and never knew these regions existed in his home. Moments later, he heard voices. Nico waited.
"Nico! Where are you?!", shouted Jason.
"We're here for a lookout, come on out Nico!", boomed Percy's voice in the woods.
Nico was relieved, he wanted to go back to camp, back to his own cabin and away from all sorts of depression. Then, he shouted back, "I'm right here guys! But don't come any further! The spirits won't like it!"
As Nico ran towards the voices he saw the two boys. But there wasn't Will. He then really decided to give up on Will and tried to manage a smile.
He walked further and then suddenly, the biggest spirit the boys'd ever seen, swooped down from a tree and passed through Nico's small and delicate body...

Meanwhile, at camp...
"Okay Lyssa, how long..?" asked Will.
"Well I arrived just a few minutes before you did and hid myself, but that isn't what's important right now actually", replied Hecate's daughter.
"So, what's it you wanna talk 'bout? But please make it quick, I have patients to tend to", said the blonde boy.
"First of all, I want to sincerely apologise on behalf on my stupid siblings. Secondly, where's Nico?", asked Lyssa.
"Oh for the love of gods, why is almost everyone asking me for Nico?", asked Will, obviously starting to get a little ticked off.
"Gods of Olympus, did you guys fight ?!", questioned Lyssa, more uncomfortable than before.
"Obviously, the boy was being such a pain", replied the annoyed Will.
"Oh gods, I knew this would happen, I should've stopped Jace then!", Lyssa stomped on the floor angrily.
A moment of Silence...
"Oookay Lyssa, what happened at the Hecate cabin?Like, I saw Jace just the other day" added Will, dumbfounded.
"Will, you gotta promise not to get furious okay?", pleaded Lyssa.
"I'm already so pissed off, I don't possibly think I could get angrier than this", replied Will.
Lyssa explained, "Jace wanted to pull a prank on Nico, knowing he has feelings for you, and yesterday, he used his rare gift from Mother, the magic to turn into any person he'd like, well, for a short period of time though. Anyways, he used Nico's body form and spewed some hateful things and you were probably there! Poor Nico didn't know what happened...I wanted to stop Jace from doing such nonsense but he wouldn't stop, he even asked the Stoll brothers for some help! He said he wanted you to hate the son of Hades."
"Oh gods..poor Nico, now he's lost in the woods all by himself!", cried Lyssa.
Will did the time-out sign, this time, very dumbfounded. He didn't know what to do anymore. Will shouted at the son of Hades just that very morning and blamed the poor, innocent boy for doing things he'd never done in his life! He had hurted Nico.
Soon afterwards, Annabeth came into the infirmary. She wanted some medical supplies since the Athena cabin was running out of them. There, she saw Will and Lyssa.
Then, she started, "You know, I saw little Nico yesterday, talking to the Hecate cabin members. He looked so happy and I felt truly happy seeing him act that way. But now, he's lost in the woods. Hopefully Percy and Jason are quick enough to find him."
"Annabeth, that wasn't Nico yesterday, it was my brother, Jace", stated Lyssa.
"How?", asked Athena's daughter.
"Later, Annabeth", replied the daughter of Hecate.
After fetching supplies she came to get for, the blonde girl left the infirmary.
Will recalled Jason saying Nico was sincere and he would never do such things to hurt the one he loved. Will wanted to punch himself right there and then. He'd said more hurtful things than what he'd remembered and now, his loved one was lost in the woods all by himself...
"Nico, I'm so sorry, please come back. I love you...so much", sobbed Will.
