Chapter 22: Beautiful and Sparkly

We actually stopped at my house so I could pick up some clothes. Nobody was home.

I got in the car and Aiden asks me, "You got your bikini?"

I hit him and said, "You perv!"

We stopped at his house and he picked up some clothes.

We then, went to the beach. The wind was blowing, but it wasn't cold air, it was like warm air.

"It's so hot!" Aiden yelled while taking off his shirt.

"It is California.." I turned around quickly. "What are you doing?!"

"Stripping," he answered.

"There are rocks that you could strip behind!" I yell at him.

"Eh, that's too far."

"Ugh, Aiden! Why did I agree to ditch with you? Wait, I didn't. You basically dragged me out of Mr. Ink's class. We are going to get in so much trouble tomorrow!"

"All done. You can change now."

I turned around and saw him shirtless and in his blue swim trunks.

"Oh please stop staring," he joked.

I covered my eyes and yell, "I don't even want to see!"

I walked to the rocks and changed quickly before he came over. I walk back to him. He was sitting on a towel.

"It's good that we're the only ones here," he said then layed down.

I layed my towel next to him and sat down holding my legs.

"Why?" I ask.

He sat back up and leaned in closer to me and said, "Because it's only us." He smirked.

I pushed him and he hit on something.

"Ow!" he said holding his arm.

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry, Aiden!" I said then took a look at his arm. It was bleeding.

I took out my scarf that I was wearing to school today. I walked up to the water and wet it a little. I came back to Aiden and wrapped the scarf around his arm.

"Thanks," he said then smiled.

I nodded and layed down on my towel and closed my eyes.

"I'll return the scarf to you after I wash it."

I nodded and said, "Mm."

"Well.. let's go swimming!" he said then got up.

I opened my eyes and sat up and said, "What?"

"Come on, let's jump in the water!"

"Your wound, Aiden."

He unwrapped the scarf and set it down on his towel and said, "I'm fine, let's go!"

"Uh, o-"

He dragged me into the water and splashed me.

"Aiden!" I screamed.

I splashed water to him.

"Ow!" he said. "There's something in my eye!"

I went over to him and said, "I'm sorry!"

He rubbed his eyes and I moved his hand and said, "Let me take a look."

I blew into his eyes and ask, "Better?"

"Yes," he said.

We were just there, floating in the water.

He held my waist and pulled me closer to him and leaned in. He held my jaw to pull me closer to him. Our lips touched and I wrapped my arms around his neck and grabbed a handful of his hair. He picked me up so I could wrap my legs around his waist. Our tongues played with each other. He then decided to kiss down to my neck. He bit onto it and I groaned and moaned.

I pulled away from him and we decided to watch the stars together. We put our towels together. My head was on his arm and his other arm was under his head.

He pointed to a star and said to me, "I'm gonna call that star, Charlotte Ridgeway."

I look to where he was pointing and ask, "Why?"

"Because it's beautiful and sparkly," he paused. "Just like the girl laying next to me."

I looked up at him and said, "Aiden.. I..-"

He looked down at me and said, "I love you, Charlotte."

"I.. I love you too, Aiden," I told him truthfully.

I lift my head up to kiss him. He pulled me up and pressed his soft lips onto mines. When we kiss, I have butterflies in my stomach, but in a good way. I don't have it when Nate and I kiss. I think I truly love Aiden.
