Weeks passed, and in a way I adjusted to the life. The crew even became kind of how to say nice? spending the mornings with them helped of course.

I regularly had dinner with Taehyung. There was always something we could talk about, whether it was music or the world. All the stories he could tell interested me greatly. I felt less and less like a captive but rather a member of the crew.

However, I couldn't stop thinking about how worried Jin must be which was precisely the reason Taehyung took me.

Sometimes they would take over another ship and I was ordered into my room while Soobin stayed there to keep an eye on me.

I was having dinner with Taehyung, while eating I already saw there was something on his mind but I didn't want to be so intrusive.

'We plundered this French ship a week ago and I saw some books and I thought you might like to read them to pass the time?' Taehyung sounded calm but I don't know nervous at the same time and honestly my heart fluttered.

'I uh yes that would be really nice.'

He nudged at a stack of books in the corner. I chuckled   'I will have enough to read till I'm dead'

She got up making her way to the pile of books. I just told Soobin to get them all. I wasn't sure what it was as I can't read French and if it there was anything nice in there for her.

'Oh and....'     I hesitated feeling ridiculous.

'Yes?' she questionably asked while looking through the books.

'There are some new clothes for you as well, dresses.'

She was silent for a moment. I couldn't help but notice that her cheeks flustered a bit.

  'That's very thoughtful of you.'

I wasn't entirely sure what to say to that  'uh yea well.'

The next day I was overlooking the sea, determining our way to Jeju. I heard many noises from the main deck and I looked down to see y/n with a sword, opposite of Jungkook. The others had gathered around them in a circle.

At first for some reason I had the fear this was a try of her to escape but I soon heard a lot of laughter.

'Alright y/n, let's try some basics' Jungkook said with a smile.

y/n was really bad at this and I chuckled to myself . She had changed into an outfit probably from Jungkook, as she was not in her dress anymore.

'Instead of knocking the sword out of my hands, can you be useful and teach me something?' she exclaimed frustrated.

'First lesson is to hold on to your sword' Jungkook said laughing while knocking it out of her hand again.

It was strange how well she had adjusted in this time. Seeing her like this it seemed she actually fitted pretty well, and that she was happy herself.

A week later we had a slow day, everyone was wandering around the deck doing nothing really. Jimin suddenly made his way towards me

     'y/n' he said with a smile .

    'yes?'

'I was thinking, as we are teaching you how to sword fight, can you teach me how to dance?'

I laughed   'why?' I asked amused.

'Well, it helps with impressing girls.'

'I don't think you have a problem in that department?'

He smirked at me leaning closer    'true but still.. humor me, let's dance'

I closed my book and got up   'fine, let's do it'

I first started to teach Jimin a solo dance, soon a bigger crowd emerged. Many boys of the crew joined, probably out of boredom.

Dancing was another skill a respectable young woman should know. Because you never know when a suitor asks you and if you don't dance perfectly it could cost you the chance on a marriage with a wealthy man.

The more I thought about it the more I resented my life back home.

Everyone here was well, they were criminals, but at least they weren't pretentious, they treated everyone equal, with the exception of the captain of course but even me as a girl. They didn't treat me as a sensitive breakable person with the only purpose in life was to marry.

I hadn't laughed this much in forever, but seeing how the guys were struggling with the dance passes was too entertaining.

I left my chambers as I heard a lot of laughter and noises from the main deck. I was kind of confused by what I was beholding, all the men were doing dancing steps.

I leaned against the stairs chuckling to myself, I caught a glimpse of y/n in the middle. Explaining them what to do. I felt a feeling in my stomach, it was a nice feeling.

'Okay y/n, enough with the solo dances, explain to me how you dance WITH a girl.'

'Jimin first step is to impress her by yourself... but fine, we can do it, put your hand in mine like this and your other around my waist.'

What was she doing?

I couldn't see clearly but I don't know I was annoyed for some reason.

'Y/n this doesn't work!' Jimin exclaimed slightly frustrated.

'Yes it's easier if the partner actually has some dance experience' she replied

'We will take it slow' she assured him

'Jimin would you mind?' he suddenly asked, where did he even come from? Jimin smirked at me

   'Certainly not captain.'

He took my hand from Jimin pulling me closer by my waist, making me gasp.

We started dancing and surprisingly Taehyung knew all the steps. Even though we didn't have music it was I don't know, magical, making our way over the deck.

When we finished the crew whistled and clapped.

'I uh didn't know you could dance.'

'My mother taught me' he said.

'She is a good teacher' I replied with a smile.

'was'  he stated with a sadness in his voice.

'oh I am so sorry Taehyung.'

He turned his head to Jimin and stepped back    'and Jimin that's how you dance with a girl, now you can practice again.'

He said it so casually, didn't he feel the same sparks that I did? Was I being utterly naïve right now?

He was a pirate after all
