Chapter 2

When Mike and Emily arrived at her house nothing had changed. The farmhouse was still in good condition. The arrow was still on the haystack when she was first called to defeat evil. “It still stands” Emily takes a deep breath and sighs. Mike looked a little worried “you okay Em?” “Yeah I'm fine, it’s been forever since I was here. I can’t wait to see Serena.” Mike smiled, “then let’s go in, I would love to meet her.” Emily takes Mike’s hand as they walk to the door and opens it, suddenly tears stream down Emily’s face “it’s all coming back to me” she releases her hand from Mike and runs towards Serena’s room, she wasn’t there. All that was there was a note written by her. 

“Dear Emily, I have to say that I am writing this letter to you because you did a great job defeating evil, and I am now at a hospital, I am not sure how long I will have to be here. The doctors say probably for the rest of my life, you can come and visit me later on until you get settled in. Love, Serena” 

Emily puts down the letter and cries, Mike walks over to her and sits on the bed beside her holding her close so that she can cry on his shoulder. “Em. Is everything okay?” Emily nodded her head no and handed the letter to Mike. “I-I don't understand s-she was perfectly okay” “Shhh” Mike soothed her running his hand in her hair. “It’s going to be okay Emily, I know this must be hard for you but we can do this together, I feel your pain” Emily looked up at Mike “I’m sorry for bringing you into this, if I would’ve known-” “You will get through this, I know you” He kisses her forehead and let her head rest of his shoulder. “When we get settled like your sister said, we can go visit her.” He smiles encouragingly. 

Emily went to her room where she slept when she was younger. Mike followed her, “Emily, this is where we should sleep” Emily smiled, “this is where we will sleep Mikey” She kissed his lips Mike went in for it and kissed her back, Emily then broke apart from the kiss. “You are my happiness, what will I do without you?” Mike grabbed her and hugged her tight. “Now let's get unpacked” When they were unpacking Emily looked around her childhood room “I love how you will live with me Mike, you can see what I went through as a child” Mike was too busy putting clothes in a drawer that he didn’t hear her.  Emily smiled at him as she was cleaning up everything. Finally Mike got up and turned to her “you know Emily, I know we’ve only been dating for a while, but I know that we will be together forever” “keep talking Mikey” Emily teased. Mike grabbed Emily and threw her on the bed, Emily tried to get away but Mike was creating a cage with his arms “Oh no you don’t get back here” He laughed.

  Emily really loved being around Mike, he always knew when to make her laugh when they were at the Shiba house she knew that Mike loved her and that Mike knew Emily loved him. Seeing Emily getting hurt during the attacks was like a heartbreak in Mike. That’s why Mike tried to protect Emily during the attacks. “Mike! Stop!” Emily was laughing because Mike was tickling her. “Nope” he smirked when he said it. Emily finally got out of his grasp before she tried to get out of the bed Mike grabbed her waist and laid her right next to him, they were cuddling in her childhood bed, she felt really nice when she laid her head on his chest she heard his heartbeat, Mike had his hands cupped around her waist pulling her closer, but giving her room to breathe. When Emily popped her head up she rustled his hair and smiled. “I love you” she said, suddenly Mike’s face turned very red. “I love you too,” he said, hugging her tightly and pulling her close. They both knew their relationship would be very strong.
