A few weeks have passed since the funeral and no one bothered to speak with one another. Emily and Mike have been dealing with their own problems. “I need new clothes,” Emily said in desperation. “I can’t seem to fit into these anymore” Mike smiled slightly and then stopped her “Em..it’s okay, I got you covered” Mike went into his closet and pulled out leggings and a comfortable shirt. “Wow” Emily said relieved “Thanks Mikey” Emily then grabbed the clothes and put them on. “I feel so much better, thank you so much” Mike smiled. Emily then proceeded to sit on the bed and revealed her growing abdomen. “Wow…” Mike said as he saw his child growing inside his wife. He placed his hand on her stomach. While he was doing that Emily started to tell Mike something “Hey Mike, what about a gender reveal party?” Mike looked at Emily with a tender expression. “Are you serious?” Emily nodded. “Then let’s have one!” Mike said excitedly. “I need to go up for an appointment anyway, the doc hasn't seen me in weeks.” Emily explained. “Then let’s go, I want to make sure the baby is still healthy!” Mike jumped off the bed and hurried to the car. “Come on Em!” Emily rolled her eyes and shook her head “I can’t be fast now!”. 

When the couple arrived at the office Dr. G was already waiting for them. “Can something be wrong?” Emily told Mike “It’s unusual that the doc is already here”. “”Mrs. Forest” Dr. G said “How have you been?” Emily was confused by the choice of words he said “Uh..I’m good” she said hesitantly. “Well let’s see how your baby is doing” he said as he walked into the room. Emily sat on the table and Mike sat in the chair next to her. When Dr. G took a look at Emily’s abdomen and he realized something “hmm” he said as he moved the probe. Emily started to get worried. “Is something wrong?” Mike asked. “Oh, no nothing is wrong” he smiled. “So Emily are you planning on having the gender reveal party?” Dr. G asked her. “Yes, we are so can you write down the gender and I will tell Mia to organize it” “Will do” Dr. G wrote down the gender of their baby and handed the slip of paper to Mike. 

“Now Emily, during this time you will start to feel more sleepier than normal and also the baby will move. You hit the 26 week mark” Emily felt glad about the news. “Also you should know, they will be just fine” Emily’s heart dropped “Wait, doc..d-did you say they?” Dr. G just chuckled. “Yes Emily, you are expecting twins. Identical twins” Mike immediately felt super happy, he jumped off the chair and ran around the room. “Twins!” Mike yelled. “Shhh” Dr G. said “Be quiet Mike, I know you're happy, but what about Emily?” Emily just went silent. She had no idea what to think, she was carrying two children instead of one, yes it is a blessing and a miracle in fact. But she was now scared what if the both of them didn’t get what they needed. Finally she answered “More worried..but I’m happy. How could you not tell us before?” Emily asked. Dr. G nodded at her question “Well it was because you were only in for a couple of weeks and identical twins don’t start dividing until week 15 and you came to me on weeks 7 and 10” Emily nodded at his explanation. “So does that mean I still have to do the strict plan you told me to do?” The doctor just nodded yes to her. A few minutes later it was time to go. Mike and Emily were shocked. “Twins…” Emily said, “Identical” Mike smiles “at least they will be the same gender” “That’s true” Emily said to Mike. “We should surprise them at the gender reveal party!” Emily suggested “Definitely” Mike said.
