A few months after the rangers fought evil, Mike and Emily were ready to go and see Serena. “Ready to go?” Mike asked, “Yep!” Emily said happily. On their way to the hospital they bumped into Kevin. “Kev!” Mike said, Kevin turned around “Mike?” Mike runs towards his friend, “Hey, Kev how have you’ve been?” Kevin then smiled as he saw Emily with him. “I see you two are still going strong” Mike blushed at what he said, he looked over at Emily and grabbed her hand “Yep, still going strong. What are you doing here anyway?” “Oh, well, my teammate Noah, he tore his ACL and he won’t be able to swim in the olympics this weekend” “Yikes! That is bad for the team, but you would help them win right?” “Sure..” Kevin looked down “but am I really sure” “What do you mean?” Emily asked. “Without Noah, we won’t be able to swim in the meet” Kevin said.

  “Well, what If I join the team?” Mike said unexpectedly. Kevin and Emily’s eyes widened “you're not kidding?” “I’m not, I mean if you’re not going to be able to make it to the olympics-” “no Mike, we will be fine, I would just have to work twice as hard” Kevin walks away and Emily watches him then looks back at Mike “Mike?” Mike walks towards the entrance of the hospital not saying anything. Emily follows him, when they enter the hospital Emily called for her sister but there was horrible news. Serena was dead. Emily did not talk to Mike as they left the hospital.

  When they got home Emily ran into her sisters room and cried the loudest cry she ever did in her life. She could not believe her sister was dead! Mike walks in watching her, not doing anything, he was too sad of his own to help her. For the first time in his life he felt helpless towards her. Emily was sobbing on her late sister’s bed. Mike finally came into the room and said “Emily...come into your room...I’ll make you happy..I won’t feel helpless” Emily suddenly picked up her head “Helpless? Mike..you are not helpless. You are something I love you” Mike grabbed her hand and they went into their room and sat on the bed. “I can’t believe Kev does not want me” Emily looks at him “That’s what you're worried about?” Mike wrapped his arm around Emily and rubbed her arm and nodded. “Mike..you are awesome, you don’t need to do anything else to impress me or help our friends” “Thanks Em” he kissed her head and they both went to bed getting ready for the next day.
