The Aftermath (COMPLETED)

"Vacation? But, It's not yet time for that. Why do you want to leave all of a sudden? " Mun Yeong asked Gang Tae for the nth time. He has been asking her since last night. Gang Tae seems lost after picking up the twins from school yesterday.

"Nothing. I just want to unwind." he answered as he watched removing her accessories.

"Yah! I'm still busy with my book. Our children still have to attend class and you have work. In 2 weeks, I promise we can go somewhere. But not now." she explained

Gang Tae just sigh then left. He went to the twins bedroom and looked at them. He couldn't help himself not to worry...

A police officer called him yesterday when he was about to pick the twins. An unexpected news gave him chills and anxiety in his body. 

"Do Hui Jae escaped the prison."   his heart beats so fast. He told the police not to tell Mun Yeong about it. He knew it's not a good idea if she will know. He wasn't even sure if she already overcome her trauma. Sometimes, she's still getting nightmares but she won't just say it to him. So he decided to hide it from her. Besides, the police are now finding her.

He quickly get off the car in the parking lot of the school and run to find the twins.

As he runs, he called Sang Tae to make sure he's okay. He told him not to open the door in his apartment and to always text him.

When Sang Tae ended the call, Gang Tae saw TaeYoung standing still. "Hey, are you okay?" he asked him.

"Appa, a lady gave me this." he stated as he hand him a butterfly brooch. That was basically the same brooch Mun Yeong's mom wearing in their family picture. Gang Tae was surprised and fuming mad- 5 years have already passed and yet she still wants to destroy and hurt her daughter through going after her kids.

"Lady? What did she tell you?" he asked

"She said that she likes omma's books and she wants to play with me. Appa, I'm terrified. She's not nice. She scare my friends so that she can talk to me." TaeYoung explained and hugged his father. Gang Tae carees his back and breathe deeply.

"It's okay, TaeYoung ah. Don't be scared. Appa will not let others hurt you." he assured him

As they hugged, GaYoung runs towards them "Appa! TaeYoungie!!" she shouted joyfully.

Gang Tae smiled "GaYoung ah! Where have you been, my princess?"

"Appa! I helped a lady today. Her ballpen fell and I gave it to her. She's nice. She said that she loves my long hair."

Gang Tae just nodded and fake a smile. "She knew them." he thought. He roamed his eyes to check if she was still there.

He called Mun Yeong to assure himself that she's fine.

He drove for almost an hour to make sure that there's no one following them.

Before getting off the car, Gang Tae makes sure that the twins will not say anything about what happened and who did they met a while ago to their mother. They promised.

He kissed the twins in the forehead and before walking out, he makes sure to lock to windows. He received a call from the police station, saying that they have a lead where she was hiding and they will now go check if she's there. He said thank you and told them to call again if they got her.

He ended the call and turned his back, he saw Mun Yeong arms were crossed and he couldn't read her facial expression. He noticed a silver thing clutched in her hands.

"Mu--Mun Yeong ah." he softly said and was about to walk towards her but she stepped back ward.

Right now, he saw disappointment and fear in her face.

"Is that the reason why you wanted to leave?" she asked
