Chapter Five

"Okay so skate park then?" Jay said after I finished talking to my mum.

"What no?" I protested.

"Skate park it is!" Xander, Nick and Austin announced just to annoy me.

I rolled my eyes, "Fine but I call shotgun!" I ran out of Xander's door and grinned when the boys came out looking defeated.

"So since this is my car, I'll be driving" Nick said smiling and opened the passenger door for me.

I grinned at him he was so adorable.

"He was just being nice to you because he wants to impress you" Xander growled.

"Wow your just jealous because he's the gentleman that you will never be" I replied grabbing my seatbelt.

"Cat fight!" Austin yelled.

"Meow" Jay said making a claw out of his hands.

"Oh god" I said.

"Thats not my name sweetheart" Xander replied.

"Shut up Xander" Nick said and began pulling the car out of the driveway.

"Go Austin!" the boys yelled as Austin did a backflip on his skateboard up the ramp.

We only arrived at the skate park 10 minutes ago and they were already acting like kids. I sat on a ramp a few metres away and observed the boys doing tricks.

I leaned against the railings and closed my eyes; listening to the peaceful sound of the gentle breeze.

"Hi".

I opened my eyes to a boy who pulled himself onto the ramp and sat next to me. He had blonde hair and blue eyes.

"Hello" I said politely. This boy was kinda cute...

"My names Cedric" he said holding out his hand; smiling genuinely at me.

"Sophie, Sophie Mile" I grinned and shook his hand.

"Thats a pretty name" Cedric said and smirked at me confidently.

I blushed and wondered why on earth was this boy talking to me? No boys had ever taken interest in me before...

"Are you with those boys?" He asked glancing at Austin, Nick, Jay and Xander who were still backflipping on the skateboards on the ramps.

"Yeah but we're all just friends" I replied and all the boys suddenly stopped as they realised I was talking with another boy. More like a stranger they probably thought.

I smiled at them and gave a little wave, to let them know I was fine. As soon as they acknowledged I was okay they continued.

"So what brings you here?" I asked as I realised there was no one with him.

"Waiting for my friend Damon".

"Oh cool" I said and cringed. Cool? Wait hold up, the name Damon sounded familiar but I didn't think too much of it.

We continued on talking and it turned out we had a lot in common.

"Sophie?" I heard Xander say behind me.

"Xander" I acknowledged as he sat down.

"Care to introduce me to your new friend?".

"His name is Cedric" I replied.

"So what are you doing with my girlfriend?" Xander asked.

Girlfriend? What the hell?

"She told me she was just friends with you and your friends" Cedric said alarmed.
