Chapter 18

"Ring.. ring..." Rider's phone rang. He received many phone calls before so this wasn't unusual. This time, however, will be different. Rider picked up the phone like he would do with almost any phone call, thinking maybe it was something unimportant. "Hello?" He said to the mysterious person on the other line. He didn't recognise the number, which was odd because usually nobody called him except for his siblings, his aunt or scam callers. But his siblings were right beside him, trying to figure everything out and studying, of course. "Yes, this is Rider. Speaking?" He replies to the person who asked if he was Rider. What the person said next would bring some unexpected mixed feelings to Rider. He dropped the phone, his face turned pale and his mouth dropped to the floor. The siblings saw this and of course, asked what happened. Rider didn't reply for 20 seconds, then started to speak.

"I-I..." Rider stuttered. He completed his sentence with shocking words that his siblings and himself never thought would come out of anybody's mouth. "They found out who our parents and uncle's killer is..." Rider said. Their eyes widened, their eyebrows dropped and they all froze. The room was filled with complete silence for a while, until they all said the same thing at the same time. "WHAT?!" Apparently, the call was from the police station but they changed their number, so Rider didn't recognise them.

They immediately ran down to the police station and saw him. The person who made them lose their everything. They stared at him, he stared back. He was handcuffed and tied to his chair. The policemen also checked for any secret weapons that he had kept inside his pockets or anything. They felt hate rushing through their veins. They were on the verge of punching him, but they knew they couldn't. So they looked at him, glaring. There were 4 policemen in the room guarding the murderer. He said a mere, "I'm sorry." And they started asking questions because they needed explanations. They also scolded him fiercely and they had the right to slap him. They also had the right to sue him. They did all those. They also needed explanations badly. Was he a Family friend that they didn't know about? Was he a complete stranger and was just feeling like murdering someone that day? Was he someone who held a grudge against their parents? If so, why??? Their parents were perfect in every way. How?

Sorry, this is a short chapter. However, I said murderers for a reason. Stay tuned for the next update to find out who the murderer is and to find out why I said murderers~
