Frozen (The Ducks in Central Park)

Fly away from frozen dreams,

A life that's gone for good

They leave the icy bitterness

And follow as they should

I stay behind to ponder

How life moves on so fast

And to help the little children,

Whose innocence can't last

I'm stuck in the winter

But don't ever let me leave

This sorrow's far too deep

For life to help relieve

The birds can all escape

Reality's cruel grasp

But I'm still treading water

Forgotten in the past

Don't fall off the cliff

Or jump into dreams

Life is cheap fabric

Unraveling at the seams
