CARD 6.

taehyung and jirae used to be a thing for a while, until red flags started showing. she would get mad at him for being sad, for merely talking to any female. with every small action, she was never happy. jungkook didn't want to interfere but what was the breaking point was when she started blaming him for every small inconvenience and withstrained him from going out with jungkook, all because she feared 'losing' taehyung to jungkook.

jungkook gathered his courage and discussed the issue with taehyung. it got so ugly to the point where they were at each other's throats. they left each other scarred and bruised. in the end, jungkook left taehyung to think about whatever that they spoke of. as a result, taehyung left her and she was screaming to harm herself in ways he doesn't want to even imagine.

now she's back. why? whatever her stupid reason was, jungkook doesn't want to see his brother in despair the way he was before. he advised taehyung to avoid her. jungkook then went to eunbi and told her to watch out for taehyung.

the next day, eunbi and taehyung had the same shift. sure enough, jirae came back with other guys nearing the end of his shift. as they ended, eunbi and taehyung walked back together as it was a short distance from their apartment. taehyung's face was blank. the silence felt so heavy. every step that they took feels like chains are being tied to their ankles.

"so i guess that's jirae huh," she started it off.

"i don't want to talk about it," he said nolochantly.

"well sooner or later you gotta face it babe,"

"i can do that later,"

"why are you avoiding confronting the issue? it wasn't-"

"i know. i am aware that it wasn't healthy for us. she wasn't the person she used to be but i just can't accept that!" he screamed, tears threatening to fall.

"i can't accept that she changed in such a short period of time. i can't help but to wish she was the jirae before. with every 'i love you' that she muttered, my heart still beats faster each time. but now," he softened and choked back his tears,

"she didn't see me the same anymore. she isn't the song jirae that i knew before and i just can't come to terms with it so please," his voice broke.

eunbi stopped him by giving him a hug. no words were needed. it took a few seconds for him to melt to her. this hug was different than any other hug that they had. eunbi teared up because she understood what he meant. she understood it when her dad left her and her mother to fend for themselves. she knew it all too well. after a while, it turned awkward. the hug seemed a little too long and both didn't know what to do until a voice a few feet away distracted them and they pulled away from each other.

jirae came running towards the two and tried to be all friendly. taehyung tried his best to avoid answering her questions. meanwhile eunbi answered the questions for him and after a while, jirae asked taehyung for his number because she claimed that someone is a huge bother to their relationship. taehyung paused for a while and gave in to her after much persuasion. eunbi can't help but to be disappointed in his decision.
