CARD 9.

"all of you are fucking annoying!" jirae screamed.

"well so are you," jungkook turned around and stared into her eyes.

jirae scoffed and put on her shoes, quickly leaving the scene. yewon went up to check on eunbi with her favourite food. jungkook and taehyung came shortly after and they turned on netflix to watch in their bedroom. yewon left a small space between herself and eunbi so taehyung can sit between while she paid attention to jungkook. what each of them didn't know is that they are deeply immersed in their own worlds. the movie that was being played on the wall wasn't even watched.

"so yewon-ah," jungkook looked over at her.

she hummed back in response, playing with her fingers.

"are you not going to answer my question?"

she stayed silent. the question rang in her head; 'if we're not dating, what are we? definitely bestfriends to say the least but, can we be more than that?' however to be honest, she was afraid. she was afraid that her feelings were not going to last. the screamings that she had to bear when her parents fought while the news portrayed the latter is not what she wanted. not the kind of relationship she wanted. she wanted everything to be honest but what if honesty is bringing them nowhere?

"kook-ah," she started it off.

"i don't want to ruin what we have now. this connection, this special bond that we will always have each others' backs. its too precious for me," she explained to him.

"but it won't change anything. yewon don't forget that i found you when you were not yourself and i've seen you on your lowest so nothing is changing. maybe the feelings of attraction might be the only thing changing, its getting stronger," he turned his body to face yewon.

yewon furrowed her eyebrows.

"baby look," he put his fingers on her chin and brought her face up to look at him, "it's not your fault. i've been here for you since highschool right? i've seen how mistreated you are, maybe it's my fault for not being able to stand up for you before but look where we are now. haven't we come a long road?"

yewon stopped and reminisced for a while.

"aiSH JUST KISS ALREADY DAMN," a voice can be heard interrupting their moment, followed by a pillow to yewon's head.

jungkook threw the pillow back to them.

"guys we were having a serious conversation if you don't mind us, i'm going to continue this at the living room," jungkook told the both of them and took yewon's hand and exited the room.

"is it really okay to ignore them like that?" yewon asked jungkook.

he stopped in his tracks and faced her.

"i don't care about what they think, i care about what YOU think. it is really all that matters," jungkook hugged her.

"well.. okay then," she answered.

"what?" he asked.

"i will accept you, as my boyfriend," yewon said to his chest.

jungkook hugged her tighter. he kissed her on her head multiple times out of joy and spun her around. they both ended up in a fit of laughter. oh how they wished this feeling of happiness remains with them. forever.
