The First Stone (and victim)

After getting used to the environment of the main campus, Helena was ready to start sniffing out the Night Stones. 

Having no lessons in the afternoon, she decided to start searching around the dorm she's assigned to---Savanaclaw.

"I guess I'll start from here," thought Helena, standing at the middle of the Magical Shift Stadium. "But looking for them alone will take ages. If only I can ask for help...no, I must complete this mission by myself."

Just then, she saw an orange-haired student with a small, red diamond mark on his right cheek standing at the audience seats.

"Alright...you can do this, Cater..." he said. "Split Card!"

Three more Caters appeared. Helena, for the first time, displayed amazement on her face.

"Wow...a cloning unique magic..." mumbled Helena.

She then walked towards Cater.

"Hello, Diamond guy. Fancy magic you got there," said Helena, forcing herself to smile and act friendly.

"Why thanks!" replied Cater. "My name's Cater, by the way. You must be the transfer student in Class 3-A! What's your name?"

"I'm Helena," she replied. "Why are you in Savanaclaw? Judging from that diamond mark on your face, you must be from Heartslabyul."

"Argh, please don't remind me. I failed the fitness test in PE class and Vargas-sensei made me clean the stadium!" Cater said as he stomped his foot.

"So you're creating clones to finish the task faster?" 

"I am...oh! please don't tell anyone! I beg you!"

"I won't," said Helena. "Anyway, I got something else to do. See ya."

Helena returned to her room. She was lucky enough to have a vacant room all to herself.

"Alright, let me try this...Copycat!" 

Some orange-coloured dust appeared around her,

"Yes! Now let's see...Split Card!"

Within seconds several clones of Helena appeared.

"It worked!" said Helena with a small smile. Unlike her usual fake smiles, this one is of her own will. 

"I haven't used my unique magic for a long time. Glad it still works," she said to herself.

Helena's unique magic is "Copycat". As its name suggests, she can copy someone else's magic, as long she had witnessed it and remembered the incantation. However, it is only limited to copying unique magic, so she won't be able to replicate normal ones like fire and wind spells.

"Now this will save more time!" she thought. "You, go search around Heartslabyul and Scarabia. And you, search around Pomefiore and Octavinelle. You go to Diasomnia and Ignihyde, and I'll remain here in Savanaclaw," she said as she gave her clones each a walkie-talkie.

"Call me when you found one," she added.

Helena then proceeded to search around the dorm. She first went to Ruggie's room.

"Hmm...this room's not bad," said Helena. She then noticed the desk.

"And such a cute piggy bank too, the mascot of Savanaclaw. I remember everyone was fighting for it when it was first sold."

She then opened all the drawers, the closet, and searched through the bed and all the gaps.

"Looks like there're no stones here. I'll go to the other one," she mumbled.
