The Epilogue

Two months after the events, all the remaining members of Twisted Soldiers were trialled.

Georgina Goldberg, aged 20, was sentenced to 20 years in prison and would be eligible for parole in 15 years.

Jamie Hodge, aged 38, was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole.

Jonathan Prince, aged 29, was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole.

Sara Khan, aged 27, was sentenced to 30 years in prison and would be eligible for parole in 20 years.

Mr Simpson, aged 63, was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Cross Mirage, aged 47, was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole.

All the other members received either life sentences or shorter ones, with some having chances for parole.

The body of Linus Stevens was found in the forest and taken by the police. It was unknown what happened to it afterwards.

As for Helena Stevens, due to her confessing to her crimes and her role in disbanding Twisted soldiers, and with the agreement of most country leaders, she would be spending 7 years in prison and must work as a janitor for NRC once she completed her sentence. However, she was allowed to come out and spend time with her boyfriend, Rook once a month.

At Scarabia, Kalim held a party the celebrate the downfall of Twisted Soldiers, the prevention of NRC's fall, and most of all, Ace's recovery, though he had to sit on a wheelchair to prevent his wounds from reopening again from moving too much.

"Everyone! Ace has come back and joined the NRC family once again! Let's have a toast!" said Kalim. Everyone cheered and came to congratulate Ace.

"Ace! We're so glad you're back with us!" said Grim.

"Our lives weren't the same without you!" said Yuu.

"We missed you so much, Kani-chan!" said Floyd, hugging Ace tightly.

"Woah! Don't squeeze me, Floyd-senpai! Or else my wounds will reopen again!" said Ace.

"Floyd and I have been waiting for you to come back. We can't wait to play basketball together again!" said Jamil.

"We should hold an extra-large Unbirthday party to welcome you back!" said Riddle.

"I'm gonna bake an extra-large cherry pie for that," said Trey.

"Everyone, thank you so much. I'm just glad everything turned out okay," said Ace.

"Speaking of which, today's the day where Helena was allowed to come out right?" asked Jade.

"Yeah, Rook's picking her up," said Azul.

"Anna, would you mind bringing me to the entrance? I would like to have a talk with her," said Ace.

"Sure," said Anna, pushing her brother's wheelchair out of the dorm.

Rook and Helena arrived at the main entrance. They saw Ace and Anna there, which made Helena nervous.

"Oh no...it's Ace..." whispered Helena to Rook.

"Don't worry. I'm sure he just wanted to have a little chat with you," said Rook.

The two walked towards the Trappola siblings.

"Hello, Helena. It's nice to see you again," said Anna.

"Me too, Anna. And...I'm glad that you're ok, Ace," said Helena, shivering.

"No need to be nervous. I just wanted to tell you something important," said Ace.

All of them waited.

"You know, I really wished you'll rot in jail after you nearly killed me. However, you've been a great friend to my sister and did not harm her, and I've heard about your part in the rescuing and defeating your former comrades. You even got the guts to kill your own father so he won't be able to hurt anyone again. Therefore, I wanted to tell you...I forgive you."

"You really forgive me?" asked Helena.

"That's what I said. In fact, I would like to invite you personally to the party at Scarabia. Anna, please bring them there."

The four people arrived at the party venue shortly. Ace then clapped his hands to get everyone's attention.

"Listen, everyone, I would like you to welcome our special guest, Helena Stevens. Despite everything she had done, I decided to forgive her, and I hope all of you will do the same," he said with a mic in his hand.

After a while, a round of applause echoed throughout the venue.

"Thank you! Thank you, everyone! I promise I will live an honest life!" said Helena while bowing.

"See? Everyone's welcoming you," smiled Rook.

"Isn't it great, Helena?" smiled Anna.

"Yes...it's the best day ever," smiled Helena. Even though she knew she wouldn't be seeing the outside world for the next seven years, she was glad to have given a chance to start over, and she decided that after she got out, the first thing she's gonna do is to settle down with Rook.
