Fall of NRC!?

The Bond Deepens

Since their lunch date at Mostro Lounge, the relationship between Helena and Rook has significantly improved. Helena is no longer hostile towards her bob-cut neighbour, and started to see his warm side.

As Linus decided to halt their mission for a short period of time, Helena had more free time, and she would use it to be with Rook.

The two would help each other study for tests, eat lunch together, shop together at Sam's mystery shop and during weekends, hang out together. Even Helena didn't want to admit it, she knew that she and Rook had become friends.

Soon the Spring Holiday was approaching, and it was traditional for NRC to hold an Easter Ball before the holiday. Rook, of course, chose Helena as his dance partner.

"Thank you for the offer, Rook, but...I don't dance and...I don't have money to buy a prom dress..."

"Oh don't you worry, Helena. I know what to do with those issues! Leave it to me!" Rook said as he grabbed Helena's hand and went towards to direction the headmaster's office.

"Wait! Where are we going!?"

The two soon arrived at the office, where Crewel and Crowley were chatting.

"Hey there! Monsieur Noir et Blanc*! I have something important to discuss with you!"

*Noir et Blanc: French for "Black and White"

"What is it, puppy Rook?"

"I would like to get my dance partner the best dress ever!" Rook said as he placed his hand on Helena's shoulder.

"Oooh~you got Stevens-san as your partner. You've come to the right person then~" replied Crewel. He then signalled the two to come over and took out a leaflet from his coat pocket.

"Le Royale is now doing a Easter discount and all their products will have a 40% off discount!" said Crewel, handing them the leaflet.

"Le Royale? Isn't that the fashion brand that specializes in tuxedoes and prom dresses? All my dad's tuxedoes are bought from there," said Helena.

"Oui, Helena. There dresses and suits are popular even amongst the most famous actors and actresses! I still remember Vil wearing that glittering purple and black tuxedo with a red bow tie during last year's Twisted Wonderland Film Festival."

"You can get a fine dress easily there," said Crewel. "Keep this leaflet as a reference."

"Merci," said Rook.

When Saturday arrived, Rook and Helena went to the Le Royale store in town.

"Hello. How can I help you?" asked the server.

"I would like to get this girl a dress for the upcoming Easter Ball at NRC," said Rook.

"NRC Easter Ball!" exclaimed the server. "Every year during this time students from NRC would rush to here and buy their prom costumes. Reminds me of the times when I was still a student there."

"Oh you're a graduate of NRC! Which dorm were you in?" asked Rook.

"I was in Octavinelle. I remember I would always choose white or lilac dresses."

"I see. Do you have any dresses that has would remind people of Easter?" asked Helena.

"Of course we do! Come along!" The server then showed her a colourful, sleeveless dress.
