Rook and Helena arrived in the middle of the forest, panting.

"Oh Rook, I don't know what to do now! Father's has never been like that!"

"Let's calm down first. I have my magic pen with me so I'm fine. Do you have any weapons with you, cherie?"

"I have a few knives and a pistol."

Suddenly, a bullet glided past them, barely missing Helena's face. The two turned around in horror and saw Linus stepping closer to them.

"*pant*...*pant*...Helena, you'll pay for betraying me. I've raised you for 12 years and this is how you repay me?" Linus' voice was hoarse, his hair tousled, and his eyes filled with red veins.

"Father, I've always wanted to ask you this...why would you found Twisted Soldiers? Why did you want to bring terror to Twisted Wonderland?"

"Why, you ask? It's simple...because I want revenge on the entire world!"

"What?" said Rook.

"I've been a mercenary since I was a child...I fight in wars as a living. I couldn't count how many battles I've participated, and there was no country who doesn't know who I am. I've fought for the Valley of Thorns, the Land of Hot Sands, the Land of Pyroxene, the Kingdom of Cherry Blossoms, the Valley of Tea...and yet, none of the leaders recognised how much I've done for them, nor did they acknowledge my efforts! All the other soldiers got praised and received medals and me? Nothing! Fortunately, there were many people who are like me, so I convinced them in order to get people in the right place and turn this unfair world over, we must bring terror! We must bring fear! We must show them how powerful we are!" yelled Linus as he panted.

Rook and Helena looked at him in pity.

"But...it all ends here now, isn't it. All of my minions will be arrested and rot in jail. But for me? I must die with pride and honour! There's no way I'm gonna fall into the hands of authorities!" he said as he aimed his machine gun at his adoptive daughter and Rook.

"Hide!" yelled Rook. He and Helena jumped into the bushes as Linus started shooting mindlessly.

"What do we do?" whispered Helena, covering her ears.

"Let's wait until he ran out of bullets!" Rook whispered back.

A few minutes later, Linus ran out of bullets and sat on a rock. He then picked some flowers and started plucking petals.

"Surrender...not to surrender...surrender...not to surrender..." His scleras were completely red and he looked extremely pale.

Rook and Helena came out of the bushes slowly. Helena pointed her pistol while Rook pointed his magical pen.

"Father, please...stop this already. You may be going to jail, but I will visit you!" said Helena, with tears in her eyes.

"Monsieur, you're not gonna disappoint your daughter, aren't you? Follow us quietly back to the sports field. The police should've arrived," said Rook calmly.

"Yeah...you're right...I should just surrender..." he said as he stood up. "But not before I kill both of you!" He took out a knife from his pocket and pointed at the duo.

"Stop it!" yelled Helena. She took out her pistol and shot two times at Linus, one bullet grazed his left arm and the other grazed his right leg.

"Ow!" Linus yelped in pain.

"Neither me nor Helena want to fight you! Just come with us quietly already!" said Rook.

"I told you, there's no way I'm going to the authorities!" yelled Linus. With his knife in his hand, he ran towards Rook, attempting to stab him, but he dodged.
