Here are some simple writing prompts to inspire a more complicated plot. These could be turned into anything from short stories to novels. I hope you enjoy! Also, please tell me which you like more, these simple ones or the more detailed plots! :)

1.  Write about an apprentice who is traumatized when his/ her littermate is carried off by a hawk, and decides to become a medicine cat.

2. Write about a heavily pregnant and injured queen who is found by two patrols of warriors from enemy Clans. Times are hard, and both Clans want the queen, so one Clan takes the queen and when her kits are born, two are given to the other Clan while the third stays with its mother.

3. Write about a medicine cat who receives a prophecy telling the deputy will become a power-hungry, aggressive leader. The current leader dies and the med cat takes the deputy to the Moonpool to receive their nine lives. The med cat must either try to murder the deputy and tell the Clan that they died on the journey, or let the deputy become leader and face the consequences.

4. Write about a male apprentice named Flowerpaw who will do anything to stop his clanmates' teasing.

5. Your Clan has just been desimated by a sudden war. You along with 3 other cats are the only survivors.

6. You have just started to heal after miscarrying your 3 kits when...

7. Your Clan has just had to move into a beach territory, and has to adjust to the new life.

8. A wild animal has been plagueing your Clan. You are out with another apprentice when you're ambushed by the predator.

9. A serial killer has been terrorizing your Clan. You decide to take matters into your own paws and investigate.

10. You have been in an abusive relationship for the last seven moons. You've decided enough is enough, and you're getting out.

11. You live in a Clan that doesn't believe in the rights of she-cats.

12. You're on patrol/Hunting/gathering herbs, when suddenly a pair of Twolegs locks you in a cage and begins carrying you away! A single Warrior sees this. How do you react? How does the warrior react? How do the rest of the clan react? Why did the Twolegs take you? Will you escape?

13. You, an apprentice, have been expected to become the greatest warrior due to your exceptional skill. However, you are a passifist and hate fighting.

14. You were born with the ability to communicate with not just cats, but other animals as well. What problems will this cause for your hunting skills, and what problems will it resolve with badgers, foxes, and dogs?

15. You're a kit with no littermates or close friends because you are the only kit in the nursery. One night you sneak out of camp alone and meet a she-kit your age.
