Here it is..........*Sighs* Please don't hate me for this...

Sorry for the wait, too. I really meant to do this faster-

The hallway freezes. At least, it seems to. The laughing, the chatter stops. The children run and hide. Even the dogs seem to stop their barking.

I wonder what I look like to them. Certainly not the princess they knew and loved.

No. Now, they shall see me as the monster I am.

They're right, of course, to do that. I am dangerous. Eva should have hidden from me when she had the chance.

Go, go, go, go, She urges in my head.

I'm going, I hiss back.

"Princess." One of my father's soldiers is the first to say. I stare at him, calculating. I'd kill him for calling me that, but then I'd lose my knife.

"Yes?" I answer sweetly instead. "Whatever is it?"

"Princess- I- you're not supposed to-"

"What?" I ask sharply. Then my tone softens as I turn to address the whole crowd. "Do you follow my orders?" I ask them. "Since I'm....." I force the word out. "Princess?"

"Yes." A woman with a cooking knife and a spoon says uncertainly. "But-"

"Good." I interrupt her. "Then kill this man." I point at the soldier. "For disobeying the crown."

The woman gasps. "N-no."

"Do you want to disobey too?"

I turn and sweep my way through the crowd, who press themselves against the wall to avoid me. The woman hasn't moved.

"Do it."

"No."

"Kill them both." I order, shoving my way through to the staircase that will lead me to the King. I don't wait to see if they listen as I race up the stairs.

I can hear my blood pounding in my ears.

I am coming for you, coming coming coming coming coming. Wait for me. I'm coming.
