4 - At War

Obi-Wan sat aboard a Republic cruiser, making a call to the Jedi Council. "Anakin has decided to join Ahsoka on Mandalore. Together they can capture Maul and put an end to this war." Obi-Wan said, trying to explain to the council why Anakin wouldn't be saving the chancellor.

"Are you sure this is the best idea Master Kenobi?" Master Ki Adi-Mundi asked, skeptical of the need for Jedi to capture Maul. But before Obi-Wan could explain, Mace Windu butted in.

"I'm sure Anakin had his reasons to join his old Padawan, he always found it hard to let go of attachments. I do believe this strategy will work though. I will accompany Master Kenobi to Grievous' ship, and we should be able to capture both Grievous and Maul." Mace said, backing up Obi-Wan.

Obi-Wan was surprised at Mace. He never thought the Master was fond of his old Padawan, yet here he was, backing up his solution. Maybe Mace has realised that he truly is a great Jedi, Obi-Wan thought, joyful at the fact one of the greatest masters of the order may finally be approving of his old Padawan.

"Join you, Master Windu will. Success in retrieving the Chancellor, you will have."said Yoda, the small master leaning on his cane and looking deep in thought.

"As you wish, Master Yoda," Obi-Wan and Mace said. "May the force be with you," said Yoda, as a small smile crossed his face. "And with you, Master Yoda," replied Obi-Wan.

Above Mandalore, the 501st were stationed in battle ships awaiting orders. An explosion of a ship set Anakin into action.

"We've got incoming," said Rex, pointing out the obvious. The doors of the transport opened and Bo-Katan and Rex jumped out, jet packs on. "Sorry, I didn't think to bring you a jet pack," said Anakin sheepishly looking over at Ahsoka.

"It's alright, don't need one!" She responded, as she jumped out of the transport onto another ship, her light sabres slowing her down. "That's my girl," said Anakin, chuckling to himself. He then jumped of the transport himself, trying to get to the ground before Ahsoka did.

Ahsoka flung herself onto another transport as the one she was on before exploded. She then jumped on another then onto the ground as a transport exploded behind her. Rex and Anakin had already finished destroying the battle droids on the floor of the city.

"I see you get your flair for the dramatics from Obi-Wan," laughed Anakin, truly believing what he said. "Are you sure she didn't get them from you General?" Rex said, erupting into laughter along with Ahsoka. Anakin just stood there looking amused but embarrassed.

"It's true Skyguy, you are very dramatic," she said, exchanging a look with Rex and then looking at Anakin. "Whatever snips, we're here to capture Maul, not talk about my ability to spice things up." He said, smirking at his comments. "Plus, I beat you down to the surface, that's 36 for me, 24 for you and 3 for Rex." Ahsoka and Rex burst out laughing with his antics.

It's good to be back, she thought.

And that my friends, is chapter four! I need some advice, do you guys want me to bring back fives and say he was shot by stun and kept in jail until he 'recovered', or do you want me to just leave it as it is. I want to bring back fives just for Rexsoka comments, bets on Anidala, and to show evidence about Palpatine to Padme who uncovers him in the senate. Tell me what you think about it though.
