Anakin found the ground awfully interesting at that point and winced at his words, but was staring to get awfully curious of Obi-wan's reaction. He slowly met Obiwan's gaze, becoming surprised once he realised Obi-wan was still sipping his tea, unfazed about the whole idea.

"Master? Are you going to say something? Please say something." Anakin said, burying his face in his hands. "Well, I suppose Rex owes me 20 credits." Anakin just let his jaw drop, his silence causing Obi-wan to look back at him.

"You're not surprised?!" "Well Anakin, you aren't exactly the most subtle person on Coruscant." Anakin just sat in his chair dumbfounded, causing Obi-wan to let out a small chuckle at the sight. "So y-your not disappointed in me?"

This caused Obiwan to lose the smirk on his face and answer seriously.

"Anakin, you went behind the back of council, though I suspect many of them have caught on to your's and Padme's relationship. You broke the code, which has been the foundation of our order for generations. But frankly, what did we expect."

Anakin looked up from the floor, scared that his master, brother, best friend was about to say hr's been a disappointment his entire Jedi life.

"You were a slave."

Anakin's eyes went back to the floor as Obi-wan's voice softened.

"Your mother and you were slaves. You had nothing except the love for each other. Attachment was the only thing keeping you sane at that point. The Jedi were wrong. Something we've been getting very good at recently. When we took you to become a Jedi, we expected you to change your entire life, to take everything away from you like the cruel slavers of Tatooine. We should've known that attachments keep you grounded, they make you a better person. And for that, I'd like to apologise. I'm sorry for not letting you see your mother when your dreams began, I'm sorry for knowing you and Padme were together and not doing anything to get you away from the war. I'm just so, so sorry." Obi-wan said, a few tears welling up in his eyes.

Anakin was full on crying at this point, he felt like a giant weight had been lifted up off of his shoulders once he knew he was accepted by his brother.

Instead of saying something, Anakin got off the couch and wrapped a now crying Obi-wan into a hug. And there they were, just two brothers crying and hugging in the Jedi temple.
