Lilian's POV

The next morning, I woke up real early and went down.
I do not even know what to say when I meet Matteo so it's best to avoid him.

Once I got to the kitchen, I saw Kegan seating there while the omegas were making some breakfast and I sighed.

"Good morning" he turned and smiled then the others greeted me and went back to what they were doing.

"Morning Lilian. You look like you had a good sleep"

"Please don't talk about it" I said as I pushed back the dirty thoughts that were about to enter my head.

I sat down and sighed again. This is to early so he probab-

"Morning Alpha Matteo" as soon as I heard that, my eyes widened and I refused to turn around.

"Morning Alpha Matteo" Kegan said and looked at me with a "why aren't you saying anything" face.

"Yah, yah. Good morning" I said with my back still facing him.

"Look at me and say it." He said and my eyes widened even more.

He knows what he's doing and that just pisses me off.
"Um do I-"

"I can't stand here all day. I barely had enough sleep last night so I might as well get this over with" I chocked on my spit and started to cough silently.

"Are you alright" Kegan grabbed my hand and looked at me.
"Do I need to take you to the pack doctor"

"No I'm fine" I said with an awkward smile as I felt Matteo's stare on me.

"Well tell me-" he was cut off when Gab came into the room with a phone in her ear.

"Mmhmm...she did wha- you know what. Imma just leave this to Matteo to solve this issue." She said and passed Matteo the phone.

"Who's this"

"My mate." Gab said.

"Which one"

She punched him in the arm and he chuckled.
"Stop playing. That's serious"

He sighed and nodded.
"What's wrong Victor." I stood up and went to the kitchen to make some coffee for myself.

"For goodness sakes. Why didn't you stop her." He said and my ears free larger as I tried to act like I wasn't listening.

*Facts*

"Just replace it and kick her out. I don't care"

*Now I'm curious*

I rolled my eyes and put creamer in my coffee. Might as well make the girls food while I'm here.

"Fine just send him here...and God forbid you utter a word about where we are" after he said that, he hung up.

"Don't talk to my mate like that"

"He's still my beta"

"But he's my mate"

"Do I look like I give a fuck cause I don't" he said which made her chuckle.

*Well they've become close* Roxy sneered which jealousy and I rolled my eyes.

"Did Victor say that he can come"

"Mmhmm. He misses you"

"Of course but on a serious note, what are you gonna do about Rosa cause she's crossed a line." as soon as she said that name, my body froze.

Gab was louder than usual so I'm guessing she meant for me to hear that.

"Honestly, I'mma leave her to Romeo to deal with. I don't time for all her bullshit"

"It's not just bullshit when she signed the Luna contract" my eyes widened and I bit back a gasp.

A Luna contract is like a paperwork where you sign which gives you authority over the pack as the Luna. It's not valid till we have the Alpha and Luna signature in it but still.
If I signed the contract during my birthday, I would've officially been the Luna of the pack.

‡that bitch is out there playing games. Ugh I want to kill her right now‡

I didn't say anything as I put the food in their plate and midlinked the girls to come down.
Once I finished, I set the food on the dinning table and they came downstairs.

"Good morning Momma" Cora said but her eyes widened when she realized what she called me.
I just smiled and shook my head.

"You can go back to calling me mommy" I said in our link and they nodded.
They were about to sit down until they noticed Matteo and ran towards him.

They both jumped on him and he caught them easily.

"What if I didn't catch you"

"Nope. I knew you were gonna catch me" Hazel said looking all smug.

"Okay. go eat your food" he said and they nodded.

I watched them run back to the dinning room and sit then I looked back to Matteo who was already looking at me.
We locked eyes for a few seconds before I broke the contact and turned around.

"Well...I got people to train" he said and stood up then walked passed me.
It felt as if he was so close yet so far. That I couldn't reach.

"It's not like you can't reach...it's just that you refuse to" I heard a faint voice say in my head and I chuckled.

"Wow. You girls really know how to say inspiring words"

*I never said anything*

"Then who- nevermind. Maybe it's just my brain messing with me"

*Your brain barely functions properly. What makes you think it'll have time to mess with you*

"I hate you girls" I said and turned around.
Kegan was already gone so I shrugged and sat in the living room.

My mind kept drifting back to what Gab said.
She really signed it and the guys didn't do anything.
Looks like they pamper her.

The thought of that made my blood boil and my eyes sting.
If I'm gonna get my hands messy then I will have to start training.

Let her enjoy her life now.
