Jungkook swiftly stood to his feet once he realized it was 5 in the evening. He wasn't going to stay a minute later as he rushed to clock out, running into Hoseok along the way. Jungkook titled his head at Hoseok, his expression dark when he was normally sunshine and smiles. Even darker than that night Hoseok found out Taehyung was contacting him instead. He had tried to smile like it hadn't bothered him. Jungkook definitely knew something was wrong as he approached Hoseok today though.
"Hey, Hobi. Is everything okay?" Jungkook asked as Hoseok sighed with exasperation. "No, the CEO wants to force Taehyung's reinstatement and make him look bad for other prospective jobs if he doesn't come back," Hoseok announced, rather annoyed and tired. Jungkook felt his heart sink at those words as he sighed heavily. "I shouldn't have gotten involved with his life, should I? He'd have been better off never meeting me, huh?" Jungkook asked, feeling dejected by Hoseok's words.
Although Hoseok quickly changed his tune when he noticed Jungkook's demeanor shift. "No, no, of course not," Hoseok reassured Jungkook, gently patting his shoulder. "He obviously likes you or he wouldn't have even considered making a deal with the CEO," Hoseok added, trying to cheer Jungkook up. He could tell it really bothered Jungkook as they walked together towards the timesheet. Hoseok bit his lip as Jungkook remained silent, his gaze still cast towards the ground before he sighed heavily once again. "I guess you're right," Jungkook finally answered, lifting his head and smiling at Hoseok.
It had to have been the most awkward smile that Hoseok had ever seen and he knew Jungkook was still bothered. His mind probably turning over with thoughts on how to fix this situation for Taehyung. "Hey, we should all get together tonight and go drinking," Hoseok suggested, trying to ease Jungkook's mind. Although Jungkook appeared tepid about that prospect and shrugged without so much as a glance towards Hoseok. "Ooooor, or, we can have a movie night at Jimin's place again," Hoseok added, hoping this suggestion would see a smile on Jungkook's face.
Jungkook looked up as he punched his timesheet to clock out with a soft hum. "I suppose we could do that. I enjoyed the last one," Jungkook stated softly as Hoseok nodded vigorously. "Okay, okay! I'll call Jimin up and set everything up," Hoseok declared excitedly, punching his time card as well. He rushed over towards the doors to leave while Jungkook lagged behind. He hadn't been feeling very energetic today as he trudged along behind Hoseok.

Jungkook walked into his apartment without bothering to check the mail. He was too ashamed to read anything Taehyung wrote to him now. He set his briefcase down and collapsed onto his couch with a soft sigh. He rubbed his hands down his face, annoyed with himself for dragging Taehyung into his mess. He'd never felt so disheartened about sharing something with someone before, but he loathed the situation he'd involved Taehyung. He groaned softly as tears slipped past his hands and down his cheeks with contempt. He was so angry with the way things had turned out that he couldn't help the tears that dripped from his jaw and onto his pants.
