HARLOW WALKED THROUGH ONE of the hallways of hogwarts alone, on the way to her dorm. this particular hallway was mostly vacant, besides one or two other people. harlow was deep in thought when all of the sudden, someone called out to her.
"potter!"
harlow stopped walking to turn around and see who it was. when she turned around she was greeted with the smiling face of cedric diggory.
"yeah diggory?" harlow inquired.
"just checkin' in, you know" the diggory boy told.
"oh yea, what would i ever do without you checking in on me" harlow said sarcastically.
cedric just laughed in return before saying "how was your first day of classes?"
"oh you know the usual, got yelled at by snape and turns out i can't ride a broom for shit."
"really? that's surprising" cedric exclaimed.
"why is that so shocking?" the auburn haired girl asked.
"i mean with your brother and father being seekers and all" cedric said.
"my father was a seeker?" harlow questioned.
"yeah, and a bloody good one at that. what? you didn't know that?" he asked.
"um, no i didn't, i don't really know much about him."
"oh" cedric frowned.
"yeah."
"i can teach you if you want." cedric offered. "to ride a broom, i mean"
"what makes you so knowledgeable in riding brooms?" harlow teased.
"i'm hufflepuff's seeker"
"that's not surprising" harlow smiled.
"is that so?"
"yeah i mean you have this whole popular jock boy thing going for you" harlow said
"do not" he defended himself
"oh shut up, you totally do," laughed harlow.
"i really don't like you, potter" cedric teased.
"be quiet, you love me"
"whatever," cedric smiled, "so do you want me to teach you or not?"
"sure, fine, i'll let you teach me," harlow said. "when?"
"i'm free now if you are," cedric said.
"i am too" harlow confirmed.

the two made their way out of the castle, to the area where she had been learning about broom riding previously. there were still brooms lying on the ground from the earlier classes.
