ONE BY ONE, the students of hogwarts made their way into the great hall. slytherin banners adorned the ceiling, as they had won seven years in a row. harlow walked into the great hall, hermione walking next to her, ron and harry trailing not too far behind. they all sat at their respective tables, hermione, harry, and ron at gryffindor and harlow at slytherin.

harlow sat down next to pansy parkinson, "we're totally going to win this again." she said.

"my father told me that slytherin hasn't lost in seven years." draco smirked.

professor mcgonagall clinks her spoon on a glass cup, the room fell silent with anticipation. dumbledore stood from his chair.

"another year, gone! and now, as i understand it, the house cup needs awarded and the points stand thus. In fourth place: gryffindor, with 312 points!" dumbledore announced.

students began to clap. harlow looked over to her brother and smirked, the satisfaction of knowing that she had done better than him getting to her head.

"in third place: hufflepuff, with 352 points!"

yet again the students began to clap. the smirk still not leaving her face, harlow looked around to find cedric, ecstatic to rub it in later.

"second: ravenclaw, with 426 points!"

the students cheered, harlow looked over to pansy and draco.

harlow grinned, "so does that mean-"

harlow was cut off by dumbledore as he began to speak again, "and in first place, with 472 points: slytherin house!"

the slytherin students cheered, clapping, some even banging on the table.

"you were right, we've done it." harlow smiled.

"well, of course we have." pansy said.

"yes, well done slytherin," dumbledore congratulated. "however, recent events must be taken into account and i have a few last minute points to award."

some of the students at the gryffindor table looked hopeful, while some of those at the slytherin table began to grimace.

"first, to miss hermione granger, for the cool use of intellect while others were in grave peril: fifty points!" dumbledore said.

harlow clapped, along with everyone else and smiled at her best friend. hermione was in shock for a moment before her lips turned upwards into a smile.

"second, to mr. ronald weasley, for the best played game of chess that hogwarts has seen these many years: fifty points!"

everyone clapped for gryffindor yet again.

"third, to mr. harry potter, for pure love and outstanding courage, i award gryffindor house: sixty points!"

harry smiled, looked up at dumbledore, a proud look on his game.
