My Sweet, Sweet Makoto

"He's perfect..." Togami whispered in awe, staring at his spikey-haired classmate from across the room. Makoto's eyes, his personality, his voice, his hope... Everything about him shone brightly to Togami. Every time Makoto giggled so sweetly, he could feel his heart race and his face heat up. Worst part about it, he had to keep these feelings concealed from the public eye; or even his own father.

"And so, Hina ran up to Fukawa and gave her the note, then ran away, then believe or not, FUKAWA LAUGHED!" Makoto yelled excitedly, slamming his hands on his desk. Taka and Mondo burst into a fit of laughter, clutching their stomachs. "YOU MEAN THE ONE ABOUT THE DANCING ROOSTER?" Mondo snorted. "YEAH! THAT ONE!" Makoto giggled. "IT'S SUCH A STUPID INSIDE JOKE! I HONESTLY HAD NO IDEA HOW FUKAWA LAUGHED!" "WOOOOOO! WE WON THE BET" The biker cheered. "Owada-san, keep it down! We are in a full classroom!" Taka scolded. Togami continued to stare at his silly crush, giggling slightly, before Makoto looked behind him, making eye contact with the blonde. Togami blushed and retracted his eyes from the lucky student, Makoto shrugged and resumed his conversation with the (obviously gay) duo.

By the time that class ended, everyone had already packed their bags and gotten ready to go home. Makoto hoisted his school bag onto his shoulder and stuffed his due homework in, pushing in his chair and waving goodbye to his friends. Soon after, Togami packed up as well, and left the room.

Togami patiently waited for his chauffeur, fixing his tie and tussling his hair. A limousine parked in front of the blonde, the door opening for him. He shuffled in and and opened a book, pushing up his glasses.

After the 15 minute drive, he walked out of the limo and made his way into his mansion. When you enter the estate, you immediately come eye-to-eye with a extravagant marble spiral staircase, coated with a gold railing. The floors were marble too, glossy, and reflected the light of the diamond encrusted chandelier on the ceiling. A fancy red carpet stretched its way from the entrance to the stairs, accenting the humongous room. "Home sweet home..." Togami sarcastically sighed and began up the shiny staircase, the sound of his oxfords clacking against the marble echoing throughout the rather gigantic room.

Togami slowly opened the door to his room, walking in, and closing it soon after. He plopped his school bag onto his floor, (which surprisingly isn't marble, instead a cherry-coloured hardwood) and stuffed his face in his bed's pillow, a exhausted groan following suite. Another day at Hope's Peak Academy wasn't too much, but seeing his crush make eye contact with him terrified him, as he didn't know if he was doing something wrong. Did Makoto hate him? Was he acting too awkward? He usually shook off those thoughts and instead made fun of people to cover up his insecurities, but once he was alone, his anxiety loomed over him, nothing there to save him. Togami sighed, getting up from his bed and taking out his journal from his school bag and setting it on his desk. He sat in his chair and opened up to the 25th page.

Dear diary,  I guess.

Today Naegi actually looked at me. Yeah. He paid attention to me. That's quite rare.

I'm not sure to confess to him... I don't even know if he likes guys, even worse, is homophobic. I guess I doubt it since he hangs out with Ishimaru and Owada all the time, and they are mega gay, but I'm still not sure. The only people that I know that he's liked are all girls, so, it's definitely more likely that he's straight. I'll try to ask him out sometime... After I sort out these thoughts. Wish me luck, me.
