Jesus is the beginning

Day one

[John 1:1-3]

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

— John 1:1 (KJV)

Jesus was in the beginning. John introduces Jesus as a being that has always been around. The word was God. There was no beginning without Jesus.

"All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."

— John 1:3 (KJV)

 All things were made by Jesus. There was nothing that was made without Jesus. Other Scriptures confirm this revelation. Let's read what Paul says about Jesus. Turn with me to Colossians 1:16.

"For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:"

 The bible says, "For by Him were all things created." There's nothing that Jesus didn't make. He made everything. Both visible and invisible.

 Jesus made thrones. Dominions. Principalities and all kinds of powers. In Jesus is the fullness of power. In Jesus is the fullness of dominion. There is nothing that can overpower Jesus.

 "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth."

— Matthew 28:18 (KJV)

Jesus has the real power. Any other power is not real. Real power lies in Jesus. That's why in His name, demons can be cast out. In His name, the eyes see. In His name, the deaf ears hear. In His name, witchcraft is destroyed.

"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:"

— Philippians 2:9 (KJV)

 God has given Jesus a name. Not any kind of name. But a name which is above every other name. Maybe you've been named with a type of sickness, or addiction or something that people call you that has ascribed a name unto you. It breaks today because of the name of Jesus!

 A name carries authority. Even on earth names have a certain kind of respect. When you mention Thomas Edison, in the science world, it sparks attention. His name carries a certain kind of weight being a father of many great inventions!

 But the name of Jesus is not just recognized in the science world, but on Earth, in Heaven and in Hell! No devil can subdue the name of Jesus!

"That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;"

— Philippians 2:10 (KJV)

 Today you are saved by the name of Jesus. His name is symbolic of salvation. His name is symbolic of deliverance. His name is symbolic of healing. Whatever pain you might be carrying today, Jesus is willing to heal you.

Suddenly, a man with leprosy approached him and knelt before him. "Lord," the man said, "if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean." Jesus reached out and touched him. "I am willing," he said. "Be healed!" And instantly the leprosy disappeared.

Matthew 8:2‭-‬3 NLT

 Jesus is willing to make our lives better. Jesus is willing to restore us. Jesus is willing to make us whole. Jesus is willing to make the best versions of ourselves. He is willing! He willed for the leper's sickness to go. He is willing today and He is willing now.

Prayer:  Father. We acknowledge that you are the embodiment of all we see. Thank you for sending Jesus to us. Thank you for sending the master unto us. Thank you for being our ever present help. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
