Hadiya watched as Patience paced her room floor back and forth with a worried look on her face. She was mumbling a few things under her breath as she stared at the floor. Hadiya was feeling a bit under pressure she didn't know how to handle the situation that was being put in front of her. The sound of Patience crying knocked her out of her thoughts and she went over to her giving her a hug.

Hugging her as tight as she could Hadiya stayed silent sometimes that's all the comfort someone needed, silence. Pulling back Hadiya wiped her tears and gave her a sympathetic look.

"Everything will be okay you still haven't looked" Patience sniffed and wiped the snot from her nose before walking to the bathroom, grabbing the pregnancy test. She took a deep breath and flipped the test over her face flushed as she looked at it.

Positive.

Putting it back down on the counter she picked up the other test and flipped that one over.

Positive.

Breaking down into a load of tears Patience sat on the toilet and covered her face with her hands. She rocked back and forth as her sobs got louder and louder causing Hadiya to crouch down in front of her. Hadiya didn't know how to make her feel better and that made her sad but she did know someone who could. Grabbing Patience's phone Hadiya put in the password and went to Dennis's contact. The phone rung two times before his voice came through the phone.

"Wassup, love"

"Hi Dennis this is Hadiya, Patience really needs you right now could you come over to her place"

"I'm on my way" the line went dead and Hadiya put the phone back on the bathroom counter. She looked at her best friend and flinched at how sad she looked her eyes were now red and puffy while her hands rested on her laps, she was in deep thought.

"I can't keep the baby" Patience broke the silence but those words were unsettling to Hadiya's ears she knew her best friend didn't just say that. Taking a deep breath Hadiya but her bottom lip and tugged at her sweats. "My parents are going to kill me" her voice cracked.

"Well, you laid down and did what grown people do knowing the consequences so now you will take care of the responsibility that comes with it I'm not going to let you kill this baby Patience, I won't" Hadiya said as she looked dead at her. She thought maybe she came off a bit too harsh but that's what Patience needed to hear and she meant every word.

"This is my body, Hadiya" Patience shot her a death glare as she stood from the toilet walking out of the bathroom with Hadiya hot on her tail.

"Trust me I know that I'm looking right at you but I won't feel right knowing you just up and killed your baby" Hadiya folded her arms across her chest and squinted her eyes. "You made your bed now lay in it" Patience laughed and shook her head.

"Funny how your quick to criticize me but when I was just crying you couldn't do nothing but just stand there" Hadiya's mouth went agape. "Yeah just stand there that's all your good for you know what just leave I don't need you, I don't need anyone I will handle this by myself" hurt flickered through Hadiya's eyes as she stared at Patience who threw herself on the bed. Now looking down at the floor she wiped the tear that fell from her eye and looked back up.

"Fine" she turned on her heals and walked straight to the front door just as she was about to open it, it was pulled open. Dennis looked at Hadiya and greeted her with a smile.

"She's upstairs" was all Hadiya said before walking out the house and going on the sidewalk to walk home. They all lived in the same neighborhood and that was a good thing because she wasn't that far from her house. Squeezing her jacket around her freezing body her lips quivered as she walked in the cold. Her mind went back to what Patience said was that really how she felt? Hadiya believed in that saying that you should listen to people when their mad like how drunken words are sober thoughts.

"Get in" Dennis yelled from inside the car, walking to his car she quickly went in and closed the door behind her. He pulled off and headed towards Hadiya's house. "She told me my baby wasn't worth having" he chuckled and gripped the steering wheel, speeding up. Hadiya clutched her sides and looked down at her lap not knowing what to say to him.

"Is that how she really feels I understand we're young but to say my baby isn't worth having really hurts me" you could hear the hurt in his voice as he confided to Hadiya. Dennis was a very open and emotional guy who loved hard and he wouldn't expect those words to come from the girl he's been in love with since they were freshman's. He pulled into her driveway and put the car in park before looking at Hadiya. His brain started playing tricks on him as he silently asked himself if Hadiya would ever do something like that to him if they were together.

"Thank you" Hadiya grabbed the door handle getting ready to get out of the car but Dennis stopped her by grabbing her forearm, startling her. Looking up at him they stared at each other in complete silence visibly scrunching up her face when she seen him coming closer, staring directly at her lips. "I should go" her sudden words brought him back into reality and he quickly let her go.

"I'm sor-" before he could finish she shot him a small smile and got out of the car. He backed out when he seen Hadiya enter her house, looking up Hadiya was stunned to see Tysheem rush past her with an angry expression on his face causing her heart to drop. Racing after him she grabbed his shoulder and stopped him.

"Hadiya don't touch me man" he said sternly with a certain look in his eyes that slightly scared Hadiya but she didn't move her hand, she didn't want to.

"What did I do" he looked straight ahead and chuckled before yanking himself from her grasp. Hadiya was confused she figured he maybe seen the interaction between her and Dennis but that's still no reason to be mad at her.

"You know what" Hadiya took a deep breath before slamming the front door and stomping up the stairs. She ignored her mother calling her name as she slammed her room door and threw her phone across the room.

Frustration.

Anger.

Pain.

Regret.

Things that she felt at the moment all hitting her at once and the pressure was well overwhelming. Tugging at her hair she fell to her knees and let out a piercing scream, falling to her side. Bringing her knees to her chest she curled up in a fetus position and stared at her room door. She couldn't catch a break, she was hurting and no one seemed to want to make it better. Everyone wanted to see her in pain.
