You grumbled under your breath angrily trying to maintain your anger as you stuffed your phone into your jean pocket.

Kozume had really been beginning to piss you off more and more with how much he's been increasing the highscore on the game making it even more difficult for you to beat.

Yesterday you had spent over 3 hours at the arcade trying to beat his score only to get the top spot by 20 points.

But now with him raising that score by 1000 more points only made you even more furiated.

So what did you do exactly? Well not what the most logical person would do which was to go home and work on your English presentation that was due in a week to which you haven't even started.

No, you sat down a look of determination in your eyes as you clicked the play button on the screen.

And boy was that a bad idea. You ended up spending over 5 hours staring at the screen as you kept missing the top score by as close as 10 points.

"Uhh L/n-san?" A voice echoed in your ears after some time and you turned slowly around rubbing your eyes to be met with a worried Kuroo.

"We're about to close."

You only nodded in response letting out a sad sigh as you stared at the pac-man machine that displayed your ranking at second.

Grabbing your school bag you check your phone only for your eyes to widen as you not only saw multiple texts and calls from your mother but the time being 9 pm.

'Well I'm fucked," You muttered deciding to confront your mom who most likely had a rice cooker ready in her hand once you got home.

If you were going to receive a scolding from her it may as well be only once rather than twice.

"Do you want me to give you a ride home?" Kuroo asked looking at your exhausted self.

"Yeah sure that would be nice. Thanks Kuroo-San," You smiled at the boy who only flustered up in response giving you a warm smile back.

"So why are you so keen on beating the highscore on that specific game?" The boy asked as he was driving down the dark streets of Tokyo.

"Well I figured out who the top user was and me being me I messaged him on discord to fuck off or I was going to pull a sangwoo on him. But he didn't and now we have this rivalry going on with who can claim the top spot. Soo that's why I've spent the last 5 hours at that dumb machine only to not beat his score and it's really irritating me."
