"You look like shit," Were the first words spoken to you as you walked into class and damn did it make you feel good.

"Wow thanks Keiji that makes me feel like a princess," You sarcastically said as you pulled your chair to your desk plopping down your eyes getting heavier by the second.

Not wanting to listen to the voices of your other classmates you put your head on the cold desk wrapping your arms around for comfort. Making sure to pull your hoodie sleeve over your wrapped up hand.

"Did Kenma-San steal your high score again," The setter joked but you honestly didn't want to deal with his bullshit due to the lack of sleep you got again.

Why was that exactly?

Well even after your heart-warming conversation with Kozume nearly a week ago who you hadn't talked to since, you still couldn't get the thought of your dad being back out of your head.

The worst past was that your mom didn't answer any of the questions you bombarded her with only making matters worse for yourself.

This caused you to barely get a wink of sleep as you tossed and turned in your bed overthinking every inch of the situation every single night for a week straight.

The only person you told of your situation was Kozume. You didn't want to bother any of your other friends with your issues but at this point you didn't care as the words came bluntly out of your mouth.

"My dead beat of a father came back last week."

"W-what?" You could almost feel Akaashi stiffen at your words knowing of your situation.

Other than Rin, Akaashi was your best and closets friend to which you always ranted out your problems to him even if he didn't listen.

He was almost a comfort for you to have when you wanted to break down.

With knowing the boy since middle school he also knew of your father recalling how broken you were when he first left.

Although Akashi didn't show it, he cared for your well being and wanted to beat the crap out of your dad for the trauma and stress he gave  to you and your mother.

"Alright class today we'll be prenseting our English assignments on your chosen English novel or film to analyze."

Shit.

WIth everything else boggling in your mind you completely forgot about your unfinished assignment left at home.

Lifting your head up slowly you watched as sensei turned off the lights turning on the projector as your classmates pulled out their notes.

"We'll start with volunteers then I'll be picking on you," She announced.

With your lack of sleep you attempted to stay awake as you secretly began to work on the assignment.

The noise of your classmates voices rang in your ears as you began scribbling a bunch of bull on your paper already knowing for a fact that you weren't going to finish in time.

But after a solid 40 minutes you got so tired to the point where you began drifting in and out of slumber.

You could feel eyes stuck on you as you placed your head on the table just to rest your head for a bit.

Akaashi's gaze was one that you would never get used to in your years of knowing him. It was as if he was trying to read your mind to see how you were feeling.
