Those words had repeated over and over in your mind as you smiled at the message you just read.
My pudding head 🥺 I'll be there in 5 minutes.
Today was your first date with Kenma and you were extremely nervous to say the least.
Truth be told you have never been on a date before or even had a boyfriend, but now both were coming to a reality in less than 5 minutes.
Now when Kenma had straightforwardly asked you to be his girlfriend, the boy himself would definitely never do something so bold.
It was the wise words of his bed haired best friend that told him to do so.
But of course even with such a label you two were still going to take things slow.
So now quickly putting on your black combat boots you ran down the stairs to be met with your mother who smiled at your appearance.
"Excited for your date honey?" She teased to which you couldn't help but fluster up at as you walked towards her.
After the reality check you had given yourself the day after the arcade incident you decided to confront your mother about everything.
Of course at first she was angry at you for lying straight to her face.
But she then continued by apologizing for how harsh she has been on you lately.
The only reason she had done so was because she was afraid of you somehow ending up like your father.
She pushed you to do your best in school because she was afraid of you failing, like your father had.
She wanted the best for you. She wanted you to be successful and live a joyful life.
So you were quick to accept her apology and the two of you ended that night off by chatting about everything.
Before you could speak up to your mother's words the bell had echoed throughout the house signalling that Kenma was here.
Your head snapped to the door eyeing it for a few seconds before walking slowly towards it.
You could feel the butterflies erupting in your stomach the closer you got only making you more anxious.
Now right in front of the door you could only stare at it dumfounded as were too nervous to even open it to reveal the figure on the other side.
"Y/n don't leave him hanging open it!" Your mothers voiced broke you out of your trance to which you let out a deep breath before twisting the door knob.
