"Y/n did you finish all your homework?" Were the first words your mom had spoken to you as you walked down the stairs the next morning.

She hadn't even noticed your clearly tired face after what had just happened last night.

Your overthinking ass kept thinking over the thought of what would've happened if Akaashi was never there but you attempted your best to shrug it off.

Your stubborn self just didn't want to admit that you were still uneasy.

"Yes mom I did," You lied as you grabbed a granola bar from the cabinet.

"I have to go to school early for a volleyball club meeting," You turned around giving her a small smile before walking towards the door.

"Okay! Make sure to pay attention in class!" You heard her yell as you opened and closed the door letting out a small sigh.

Why was she so pushy on my studies lately? You couldn't help but think as you walked to school not to go for a volleyball meeting but to finish your homework in the library.

You couldn't help but glance back every so often while walking to school afraid that somehow those men would show up again.

Once arriving at school you quickly went to the library being able to finish the rest of your work a few minutes before the bell rang.

Deciding to go to your locker you heard your name suddenly being shouted in the halls to which you turned around to see a distressed Rin.

Y/n I am so sorry!" You were instantly tackled into a hug as you had just opened your locker. "I was sleeping and didn't notice your message! It's all my fa—"

"Rin it's alright it was not your fault!" You laughed hugging her back before pulling away slightly. "I was just being a dumbass that's all."

The girl only pouted slightly in response before letting go of you so that you could grab your textbooks.

"Listen I love your mom but she can be a real pain sometimes."

"Yeah I know but she's only looking out for me and my future in the end," You reasoned looking at your friend who only glared at your words.

Closing your locker you both walked side by side towards your first period class for the day.

"So Akaashi told me how he knew that you were in some sort of trouble,"Rin spoke up smirking to which you nudged her in response.

"Yeah I'm greatful that Kozume texted him because if he hadn't I don't know what I would've done," You smiled to yourself thinking about your online gaming rival.

"You likeee him," Rin sang wiggling her eyebrows playfully. "I've never seen my bestie so happy about a boy before."

"That's a lie!" You exclaimed glaring at her. "I've definitely been happy over—"

"Not including 2d characters," Rin shut you down instantly.

"I—ugh never mind," You grumbled feeling your cheeks heat up in embarrassment.

"Wait have you even seen what this boy looks like?" Rin inquired looking at you curiously.

"Uhh...no," You whispered putting your head down to not me her gaze.

"What about when you gave him the pie?"

"I was too nervous to see him," You mumbled your cheeks flushing even more.
