~~SCARLETT~~
I dove behind the one table while gunfire was igniting around me by the last of Desmond's men who spotted me when I took the last guy down to the floor. I pinned my back to the wall realizing I didn't have any more sedative syringes on me knowing that I had to figure out what to do. I knew I couldn't give up, my mother needed me and I would do anything to save her even if I get shot in the process. I tightened my grip before seeing the guy reload the clip of his gun and that was the only option I had to charge at him. I charged at him while he tried to reload the gun quicker but I managed to scissor kick the gun out of his hand. I dodged his arm swinging at me where I back flipped away and then I managed to get behind him when I was forced to split in between his legs. I managed to grab the man by both of my legs tightening them until he slipped into unconsciousness. I stood up seeing my mother was still working on the Antiserum when I rushed over to her. She seemed startled when she saw me not knowing who I was where she tried to get up and move away from me.
"Mom...mom it's me." I replied pulling my goggles placing them onto my head where she could see her experimental micro exosuit on my body.
"Sweetheart...I told you to stay away. Desmond will not stop until he gets your blood and he has a powerful metahuman watching me. You need to get out of here while you have the chance." She exclaimed where I looked around seeing no one else around us when I saw she was chained by her ankle to the table. I knelt down snapping the chains with my grip before she could see how powerful I was getting.
"I'm not leaving here without you." I answered until a loud piercing scream echoed into my ears causing me to grab my head from the pain. It felt like someone was stabbing every nerve of my brain and I could feel the numbness in my fingertips when I clutched my head. I was use to never feel any pain but if this was pain I didn't want to ever feel it again for as long as I was alive. I turned to see a pale figure with a purple bulb on his head where white streaks of energy was piercing my head, I grabbed my mother's hand pulling her with me while I tried to fight the pain. I then with no other option threw my hands at him sending him backwards into the wall and the high pitched piercing pain vanished and I dropped to my knees. My mother rushed over seeing a small trickle of blood leaking from my nose where she grabbed a vile she was making into her hands and put it into a syringe. "What's that?"
"This is the Antiserum, it's the only one I managed to make and if I inject it into you, your blood will mix and it will fix you." She replied where I took it into my hand placing it into the pocket shocking her.
"I need these powers right now Mom, Desmond should be coming soon and I don't want to be weakened until I take him down. Now come on before headache over there comes to and becomes more of a pain in the neck." I answered where my mother saw a black vein pounding in my neck and I saw she was concerned.
"There expanding, you should be at 60 percent of your brain's capacity by now. If you don't inject yourself with that soon then you may not be able to control it." My mother reminded where I pulled my goggles down scanning the area as we slowly made it to the main door. It then burst open where I and my mother knocked backwards she fell to the floor and I skidded back onto my heels. I looked up seeing it was Roland Desmond looking at me and his evil grin was reflecting at me.
"My little protégé...you are here. Excellent." He smirked where I tightened my grip into my hands where he pulled his dress jacket off preparing for a fight. I cracked my neck where I was ready to fight him, wherever Dick was I hope he would get here soon.
