~~DICK~~
We arrived at my private condo where I took the helmet from Scarlett who seemed almost impressed by my living arrangements. I unlocked the door pushing it open letting her to pass me to enter where I did a quick scan of my living room hoping I didn't leave anything to reveal I was Nightwing. I walked towards my computer that was connected to the main computer in the cave below us and made sure it was off so no unwanted interruptions occurred.
"This is a nice place, you have a great view of Blüdhaven and you have a balcony too. Wow you must have money?" she exclaimed where I placed my keys on the counter where we were in the kitchen slash living room of my condo.
"You want to take a look?" I asked walking to the balcony doors opening them where the sunset was coming over the buildings. She stood next to me while I gripped the railing with my hands I could see at the corner of my eye that she was staring at one building in particular. I looked forward to see the Desmond Corporations in between the sun set and other buildings before I turned to walk back into the room leaving her looking out. I opened my fridge to see what I had to make dinner, I texted Alfred earlier to equip my fridge with good dinner ingredients for my "date" with Scarlett. I saw some pork chops and some green beans, I pulled out some fresh garlic from the drawers then I remembered I had some sweet potatoes in the cabinet. I rummaged through my spice rack seeing some coriander, cumin, brown sugar and salt inside taking them placing them on the counter. I grabbed a knife from the rack placing it on the counter where I saw Scarlett shutting the balcony door before seeing the small bar area in front of her. "I'm going to start cooking, do you want to make us a drink or something?"
"Ever hear of a dirty Shirley?" she laughed where I never heard of the drink before where she placed her bag onto the floor near mine before stepping near the alcohol. I could see a slight scar on her deltoid part of her shoulder; I guess the bullet wound didn't fully heal yet. I grind my teeth slightly still trying to figure out why Scarlett took the bullet for me, it's not like she knew it was me right?
"Never heard of it but it sounds very tasty to try. If you need ice I have some in the freezer. I'm going to change my shirt to something nicer than this causal thing, make yourself at home okay?" I smiled where I felt my cell phone vibrate against my pocket when I pulled it out I saw a new email from Barbara came in. I removed my leather jacket placing it onto the chair where I pulled off my shirt heading towards my bedroom. I could tell she was checking me out where I guess I deserved that since I was checking her out. I pulled a tight black shirt from my closet and put it on; I looked to make sure that Scarlett wasn't around so I could check the email Barbara sent me on the DNA sample.
'Dick I checked the blood sample and Bruce also looked over to see what he did to stop Mark Desmond. You need a powerful electrical charge to shock him enough to render him to unconsciousness. As for Scarlett's blood the results came back and it is very bizarre, keep a close eye on her. Bruce and I are going to retest the DNA sample to recheck our results and if we find out anything else I'll let you know -Barbara.'
I put my phone back into my pocket and walked out into the kitchen seeing that Scarlett was pouring the drink into two glasses, it was red and had cherries in. I started to prepare the meal where Scarlett brought the drink over sitting on the stool in front of me while I diced up the garlic. I took the drink she made and took a sip tasting the cherry flavor.
"If you ever had a Shirley Temple as a kid then you would enjoy it with some vodka added to the mix. So I guess maybe we should get to know each other a little better hmm? I'll start with where are you really from?" she asked where I took the peeler starting to peeling the sweet potatoes and then cutting them into fry form. I had to be sure not to reveal too much about myself without her catching on to my secrets but I still have to be open enough to talk to her to find out more about her.
"I was born in Gotham City, my turn how long have you lived in Blüdhaven?" I asked pulling at pan out while I dusted the pork chops with the spices before throwing them onto the pan.
"Born and raised here at Blüdhaven, my family isn't the type to move around so never really been out of Blüdhaven sadly. I hope to move away from Blüdhaven but until then I have unfinished business here. The food smells good, I'm going to make the drink again you want a refill?" she exclaimed where I knew I had to be cautious but I handed her my glass and she went to remake the drink. I knew what she meant by unfinished business, she was going to take down Blockbuster and I knew I had to find a way to stop her before it's too late.
