Seven drinks in and I was already feeling them. Patricia had been telling the bartender not to give them to me too quickly and unfortunately he had been listening. I just wanted to be drunk already, I felt uncomfortable.

I didn't know anyone except Blake, Patricia and Justus. The rest of the crowd was people I didn't know at all and I was feeling uncomfortable. I just wanted more drinks to chug.

At least I actually felt pretty today. Patricia picked out a satin, royal blue dress for me that actually complimented my figure. I could tell it was a good choice when Blake couldn't take his eyes off me when we first got here. And if I was honest, I liked the attention from him. He was looking at me like he was hungry and I was his last possible meal.

Now he was nowhere to be found, and neither was Justus. My best bet was that Blake was babysitting his best friend because last time I saw Justus, he was drunk out of his mind. My goal was to be as close to that as possible.

Hoping enough time had passed since my last drink, I smiled at the bartender and he chuckled as he nodded. I beamed, watching him prepare my next margarita.

The second he set it in front of me, I glued my lips to the straw and didn't set it down until it was empty. Patricia stopped talking to the group of girls that went up to her and was about to tell me something when she saw the new empty glass. Her eyes bounced between my face and all the glass cups, looking impressed and disappointed at the same time.

"What?" I giggled, standing from my stool to go to the dance floor. I was already a little dizzy, but I was fine. "Let's go dance."

She only had half the amount of drinks I've had, but she was a social person and was doing fine without the alcoholic help. Eight drinks in and I was barely getting the confidence she walked in here with. I wished I was like her, but at least I'd have the temporary confidence for now. That would suffice.

Smiling, she gave me her hand and allowed me to pull her to the dance floor. Everyone around us had already been dancing for a while so the room was hot and humid with everyone's sweat. Normally I'd be grossed out about that, but right now all I wanted to do was dance and enjoy my night.

The upbeat music was loud in my ears and I could feel the bass traveling from my feet up my body. Patricia put her hands on my waist and we both just let the music take over our bodies, throwing our heads back to laugh when people would bump into us by accident. Everyone was just enjoying the music.

I've never felt more free in my life. Not caring about what people thought about how I looked or how I moved. It was just me and Patricia enjoying our night after a couple of drinks.

When a pair of hands grabbed my waist from behind, I quickly let go of Patricia and spun around in confusion, backing up against her. She grabbed my waist to stop me from backing up further, just as I looked up at the big guy standing in front of me.

"Hey, gorgeous." He winked as he tried to grab at me again, but I backed away from his hands. He had a dimple on his left cheek, but it wasn't as deep as Blake's. Sure he was cute, but if he made me feel anything, it was just the feeling of missing Blake. "Can I have a dance?"

I shook my head as Patricia slid her hands up my stomach and over my boobs. My cheeks turned hot as his eyes followed her every move. If she was trying to make him back off, all she was really succeeding at was attracting him to us even more. The dude looked like he was a kid in a candy store.

Realizing he wasn't getting the hint that we weren't interested, she peeked her head over my shoulder and took one hand off my chest to shoo him away.

"She's mine, buddy. Back off."
