Catherine's (Erica's mother) POV

I entered the dark room, where the other CIA, FBI, and Secret Service leaders sat. I smiled, though underneath it I wanted to slink away. I forced myself to remain calm and sit down. A ripple of whispers rumbled around the group, but I ignored it.

"Hello" I greeted in my friendliest voice possible.

"Greetings, Agent Catherine" said a tall stern looking man in a business suit across from me. "I presume you know why you are here?"

"Yes, I do indeed" I nodded.

"Good, then lets begin" he tapped something on the table. "Let the meeting begin."

"I think Ben, Erica, Zoe, and Mike should meet. We need them to remember" suggested the leader of the Secret Service. "We will make it look like a accident. And then they will remember. And", she sighed, "they saved America and about every other country on earth and tracked down SPIDER and defeated them when the entire country couldn't."

"Yes, I agree" I agreed, raising my hand. The leader of the Secret Service raised her hand as well.

"I don't think it is a good idea" argued the leader of the CIA and FBI.

"Why not?" asked the leader of the Secret Service.

"Well, they have gone rogue, haven't they? And if they meet, who knows what kind of ideas will pop into there heads! They might join another enemy!"

"But" I pointed out. "They could have several times before, and have they? Plus, we need them on hour side so we should get them on OUR side before the enemy does. Erica is fine but it's Ben, Zoe, and Mike I am worried about."

"Lets have a vote. All in favor of making them meet?" the leader of the CIA said. One hand was raised, mine.

"All in favor of separating them?"

Three hands where raised.

"Then it looks like its decided. Access to separating them at all costs is granted."

Erica's POV

"I leaned agaisn't the stone building behind me. I glared at the stone alleyway as I rat scurried by. Suddenly I saw a man walk into the alleyway, and I slipped into a dark crack. He walked right past me and I let out a small  sigh of relief. I couldn't be seen, I was on a mission tracking this man. My mother had sent me, and I wouldn't fail her.

Then three men appeared behind him, one holding a knife. I let out a small gasp. I quickly shut my as one turned in my direction, only glancing at the crack and then returned to narrowing in on there target.

"STOP!" one yelled. The boy turned around. "Give me all your money, or you'll get it!"

The boy said nothing as the one with the knife came closer and closer, until he was in arms length. Suddenly the boy lashed out a arm, grabbed the boy and flipped him on his back, taking the knife and kicking him into the wall. He let out a groan of pain and he pushed himself up and stumbled into the nearest alleyway.

A little flicker of shock bloomed inside me and I quickly clamped it down. The other boys, now defenseless backed up and raised there hands in surrender. They whipped around and bolted just as the boy turned around and slipped the knife into his pocket.

I trailed after him as he walked down the street like nothing had happened, though he was moving quickly. But suddenly at that moment, he earned the tiniest shred of my respect.

Three days later.....

My target walked down the deserted path, trees towered around him. I crept along in the undergrowth, watching his every move.

I pressed my earbud.

"Mom?" I whispered.

"Yes?" my mom whispered back.

"I have the target in my sights" I reported.

"Good, have you set the tracker yet?" she asked.

"No" I admitted. "But I am trailing him, and he is completely unaware I am here." I rushed ahead and bolted around the bend. I got onto the dirt path, like what I was doing was perfectly normal. I rounded the bend where he saw me. In my corner vision I locked it on him. Once we where just pacing each other I swung out a foot, sending both of us sprawling on the ground. I flicked my hand and the tracker flew through the air, landing behind his ear. He let out a yelp of surprise.

"Sorry!" I cried, in a fake accent. He groaned and caught up.

"Oops" he gave me a grin. "It's okay. Do you like hiking here?"

"Ya, I do it sometimes with my parents" I lied. He nodded, but I saw something in his face that told me he didn't believe me, but was choosing to believe me.

"Okay, maybe I'll see ya around some time" he said, then he turned and continued, unaware that I had just set a tracker.
