Erica's POV

Hurricane.

Fear boiled up inside me, which I didn't have time to squash as mini-tsunami's crashed on the beach, spraying everything within' thirty feet with water and mist. Wind whipped at my air and flying debris scratched my car.

But I didn't care.

I grabbed the steering wheel and stepped on it, zooming down the road and ignoring the speed limit.

To be fair almost everyone else was doing the same thing.

I closed the window and rain hit my windshield and clouded it. I slapped the button to my right and the windshield wipers started, swinging and swinging. But no matter how fast they went, the rain kept coming. The mini-tsunami's turned into bigger tsunamis. Lightning flickered, people ran for shelter.

It was all to much.

Suddenly a cry of fear and pain rang out.

It was barely a whisper compared to the roar of the storm yet it seemed to be heard from the sunset to the where the darkness crept through the sky.

I looked through the window and saw a boy with brown eyes and chocolate brown hair hanging on for dear life as he clung to a lamppost, the wind trying to rip him away. His cloths and hair where soak, with about ten bleeding scratches on his legs and arms.

That boy.

And in that moment, I did something insane.

I did something crazy.

I did something without thinking.

I did something I knew that I wouldn't do for anyone else.
