ME, DONNIE, DANNY and Jon were hanging out in Jon's room, just vibing to music and talking, when all of a sudden, someone knocked on the door.
"We shouldn't get it. It's probably just fans on the loose," Danny said, turning up the volume on his stereo. But right as he said that, someone knocked on the door again.
"Guys, it's Joe," I could hear his muffled voice behind the door. I got up and opened the door, and there he was, looking absolutely miserable.
"What the hell happened to you, Joe?" I asked him.
He was a complete mess, and it looked like he had been crying... Although that felt like a bit of a stretch since Joey wasn't much of a cry baby, but his eyes were all puffy and red.
"Nothing really happened. Me and Tinnie had a fight," he said, sitting down with us.
"Hold up, McIntyre! You and Tinnie had a fight?" Danny asked as he had overheard our conversation.
"What happened?" Donnie joined our conversation.
"I got mad at her because she still has feelings for her ex, Jacob. She saw him today with his new girlfriend and ever since that, she's been sad... But he was absolutely horrible to her! I'd never treat her the way he did, so I just can't believe she still has feelings for him. It doesn't make any sense," Joey poured his heart out to us. It had been a while since I'd last seen him so emotional and express his feelings like that.
"Did she tell you that she still has feelings for him?" I asked Joey. Although he had barely shared any details with us yet, this whole thing already seemed like a big misunderstanding to me. I genuinely thought that he was overreacting.
However, the fact that he felt like this really proved how much he loved Tinnie. Their love was something special, and I knew that if Joey didn't go back there and apologize to her, he would lose her.
"No... She didn't have to, I could see it in her eyes. Besides, why would she get so emotional over him if she wasn't feeling anything towards him?" Joey questioned, burying his head in the palms of his hands.
"Joe, I hate to break it to you—because we all know how much you hate to be wrong—but right now, you are wrong," Donnie said as he rubbed Joey's shoulder, "I honestly think that Tinnie was just reminded of the bad times with him, and that's what made her sad. I've spent a lot of time talking to Tinnie, and that girl loves you like no other. All she ever does is talk about you, so trust me on this one"
"Yeah, man. I just think you misunderstood her. Did you even hear her side of the story?" Danny asked, agreeing with Donnie.
Joey didn't say anything. "Joe?"
"I didn't, alright? I was so mad that i didn't even let her talk. I just stormed out of there like an idiot with my head up in my ass... Man, I really fucked up, didn't I?" Joey asked, starting to sound really worried. I'd never seen Joey this sad in my life. None of us had. I could tell he was on the verge of crying as his eyes slowly filled with tears.
"Alright man, listen up. You did fuck up, really bad. But you can fix this. All you gotta do right now is march back into your room and apologize to Tinnie. Hear her out and you'll see that we were right, and your head really was up in your ass," Donnie said to Joey as he kept looking like a helpless puppy.
