"Fatima where are you? I've been standing by the hall door for the past ten minutes and I don't see any sign of you!" Amina complains. "Relax mana, I just asked someone and they explained, I'm almost there" Fatima says. "Please hurry up." Amina replies before ending the call.

It is the day of Ya Sa'ad's wedding dinner and Fatima couldn't find the hall where the event was taking place. The dinner was taking place in A-class park and since there were so many halls, Fatima kept getting lost and couldn't find the particular hall where the event was being held. She had come there with her mother who was driving and stopping occasionally to ask for directions.

After another five minutes of wandering, they finally found the hall and true to Amina's words she was standing in front of the hall looking around. When she noticed them walking up to the door, she let out a sigh. "Finally. Took you forever. Mama ina wuni" she says all at the same time. "Lafiya. How are you?" Mama asks.

After a few more greetings, she ushers them in and shows mama to her mother's table where she was welcomed warmly by umma; Amina's mother. When they made sure she was sat and comfortable, Amina pulled Fatima away to the table her cousins and people of their age were sitting on.

"Ya Hameeda meet Fatima" she says to a lady at the other side of the round table. She's wearing a red lace gown with sequins; same as Amina's and a black gele was tied to perfection on her head. She had makeup on and paired with her cute butterfly glasses, she looked every sense of the word beautiful. Amina and her looked alike so much, from the glowing dark skin, the dainty nose, the almond shaped eyes and the cute heart shaped lips.

"It's so nice to finally meet you Fatima. Amina has disturbed our ears with your name" Ya Hameeda says standing up to hug Fatima. "Same here ya, ina wuni" she hugs her back shyly and slightly bends to greet her. "You look amazing. Amal wasn't exaggerating when she said you were stunning." She says causing Fatima to blush and put her head down. "Thank you" she says meekly.

"Have a seat!" Ya Hameeda exclaims remembering she has kept the poor girl standing for so long and pulls her to the seat in between her and Amina. Amina introduces her to the rest of the people on the table. There were four of their cousins; Aisha, Khadija, Asiya and Kauthar who were in the same age range as Amina and Ya Hameeda. Then there were three of Ya Hameeda's friends; Zainab, Sadiya and Amira.

Amina didn't have any friend in attendance apart from Fatima. You would think Amina would have a lot of friends because of her bubbly and lovable nature, but it was actually the opposite. She had attended El-Amin International School Minna and since the school wasn't in Abuja, most of them live in different states and had very different values from her. The few who live in Abuja couldn't make it to the wedding for one reason or the other. For some reason, she was actually happy none of them came. Her secondary school 'friends' were a bunch of gossips who enjoyed humiliating people. She didn't want to be associated with those kind of people since that is not how she was raised.

Besides, she wouldn't even know how to handle engaging with everyone at the same time. One way or the other someone would feel left out and she wouldn't want anyone to have anything bad to say about her.

The MC announces the arrival of the bride and groom shortly after and everyone stands up to welcome them in. That's what love is by Justin Bieber played in the background as the beautiful couple walked in with an entourage of their friends.

"So Fatimah is the bride?" Fatima asks. "Yes, how do you know her?" Amina asks. "She's Farida's friends older sister." Fatima said explain. Amina is still confused, "who is Farida and how do you know Ya Shukriyya?"

"Actually kind of complicated. Farida is my cousin from my mom's side and she has a friend, Hauwa. One time when I was in Kano I escorted Farida to Hauwa's house and I met Fatimah there." She explains further. Amina forms an 'o' shape with her mouth in understanding. "So you know Hauwa too?" She asks. Fatima rolls her eyes at the stupid question, "you didn't get that from everything I just said? She asks sarcastically. Amina hisses muttering something inaudible under her breath.

Just then, the bride and groom take their seats and the train of bridesmaids and groomsmen find their tables and settle down. The rest of the night is filled with fun, food and laughter, you could tell the bride and groom were very happy and their wide smiles were reflected on every face present.

The event ended by 11pm and by then, most of the parents had already left including Fatima's mom. She had wanted Fatima to follow her but Amina insisted that she stays and promised to drop her home herself. After much persuasion, mama had agreed and left around 9pm.

Hauwa finally got the chance to speak with Fatima. She had been so busy during the night and had not gotten the opportunity to talk to her. "Fatima!" She exclaims tapping Fatima's arm.

"Hey Hauwa? How are you?" Fatima asks hugging her. "I'm fine. It's been so long. How are you?" She asks too. "I've been okay. It really has been long" Fatima answers. "I was with Farida just yesterday kuwa. She came for the wedding and she didn't tell me you were back." Hauwa says. "Allah Sarki, I probably didn't come up that's why she didn't tell you.

"Yeah true. But it was so nice seeing you again. I would see you around." She waves. Fatima sits back down and brings out her phone to keep herself busy. She was waiting for Amina to come back so they would leave. Ya Sa'ad had asked her to come take something home for him so she went to collect it from him. Fatima just remembered she had not even congratulated the couple and she ate free food at their wedding. She would ask Amina to take her when she came back.

Right on cue, Amina comes back and tells her to stand up so they could leave. "I just realized I didn't congratulate the couple. So let's do that first before leaving" Fatima says and picks her bag. Amina simply nods and leads the way.

"Hey Fatima, how are you?" The bride; Fatimah who is called Shukriyya asks giving her a side hug. Fatima reciprocates the hug and answers, "I'm fine. Congratulations. I had no idea you were the one getting married." Fatima says. "Thank you so much, are you friends with Amina?" Shukriyya asks. "Oh yes, she invited me." Fatima explains and Shukriyya nods. "Oh wow, thank you for coming!" She says. Fatim nods subtly and congratulates the groom.

"Congratulations Ya Sa'ad. Allah ya bada zaman Lafiya." She prays. "Thank you so much Fatima. I finally meet the highly talked about Fatima." He answers. She simply smiles in response and bids them good night.

"Good night Ya Sa'ad, Good night Ya Shukriyya." Amina hugs them both and they finally leave the venue at around 11:30. It was such a memorable and fun night.
