Chapter 2: When the dragon said

Third person pov hiccup

Hiccup just stared at the giant new dragon in front of him, he couldn't believe what he saw, the dragon stared back at him but was not seem to be aggressive.

But just in case he called out "Toothless? Come here bud." And Astrid called her dragon as well.

It took toothless maybe a few seconds to come to their location, as soon as he spotted the big dragon it snarled at it with suspicion, witch to hiccup surprise the dragon didn't return and slowly lowered his head in submission.

Now hiccup was even more intrigued, he reached his hand forward and averted his gaze in order to try and get a positive response from it, but again to his surprise the dragon only sniffed his hand but didn't put his snout on his hand and raised his head high up.

Hiccup at this point had put away his sword and told to Astrid "Call Fishlegs, he's gonna want to see this."

After she left the dragon made an attempt to get closer to Toothless, and Toothless now seeing that the dragon wasn't aggressive responded very positively.

he started to be a little playful and ran around the big dragon, but the dragon instead of chasing him around stood in it's place and moved his big long neck around.

Just then hiccup noticed that it had some round metallic thing on it's chest, it was in an hour glass shape and coloured black and green.

Just then Fishlegs could be heard saying "hiccup I'm here, where is that new dragon?"

He appeared riding on top of meatlug, but when the dragon saw here he growled and stepped away from her, and Fishlegs, meatlug and hiccup looked very confused by this.

As far as they knew, this dragon wasn't a natural enemy to grunckle, but then again they never saw him before.

Meatlug had landed farther away from the dragon as possible and Fishlegs got off her back, after giving her a big loving hug and tell her that she doesn't need to worry about him he approached the dragon with caution.

After getting close enough he pulled out his dragon cards and started going through them all and when that didn't work he looked at hiccup and said "Hiccup I got nothing on this guy in here and all of these com from the book of dragons."

Hiccup thought about it for a second before saying "what about the dragon eyes? We could use them to find out more about this dragon."

Fishlegs nodded and hiccup went to toothless' saddle bag and took out the original dragon eye, all while the big dragon is watching in silence.

Before hiccup could use the eye though, the dragon's belly started to let everyone know that it was empty, to everyone's shock they heard a big laugh coming from the big dragon.

And then to everyone's surprise it talked in a deep voice saying "if you don't mind that I would eat first, i would be more then happy to help you in whatever it is that you're hoping to find."

Hiccup was speech less, in all his time dragon training he had encountered many species but non of them had the ability to talk.

Hiccup looked at Fishlegs and Astrid, only to see them both with their jaws dropped.

A talking dragon, such a thing was unheard of, hiccup then said with a lot of effort "o-o-of course... Come with us." And he started to let the dragon come with them inside their base.

Third person pov ben

Ben was understandably not happy to see another one of those creatures that tried to take a bite out of him earlier who now he identified as another type of dragon, but then he was in an awkward situation when his stomach started to make noises.

Naturally he tried to laugh it off but then he forgot that he tried to not stand out and he put himself in even deeper trouble, apparently there are no talking dragons in this earth at all so ben was now the only one.

After he walked with them they entered what seem like a kennels of some sort, and when he got in he saw two other dragons in there, one of them he recognized as the same type of dragon he saw in that cave and the other one he saw that he had two heads.

They had put Ben in front of a feeding frame full of fish, and he just dug in.

When he was done eating he let out a very long and very loud burp that actually shook the ground they were on.

Before he could apologize though he heard three different voices bursting out laughing and the doors to the kennels were swing open and three characters walked inside.

Two of them were blonde Vikings with matching helmets and the other one was a shorter beefy build brown hair Viking, they were all holding there stomachs and then they saw Ben.

The shorter Viking then looked at the one named hiccup and said "Hay Hiccup, I think they heard that burp back at berk, now what was it that you wanted to see us about?"

Before Hiccup could answer though Ben answered instead "Sorry i was really hungry i didn't paced myself."

All three characters got quiet, after a few minutes the two blonde Vikings burst out shouting "Awesome! A talking dragon!"

Hiccup cleared his throat and said "Snotlout, Ruff, Tuff please calm down."

The shorter Viking who ben guessd was snotlout burst out shouting "Calm down?! Did you or did you not just heard the talking dragon?!"

Astrid just looked at him and said "Snotlout listen to Hiccup, freaking out won't help us right now."

Ben then saw the big red dragon move out of his kennel and towards snotlout seemingly ready to protect him.

Then hiccup just raised his voice saying "If you would all please! Just calm down i think we could sit down and talk to our guest we could clear the air, don't you.. er.."

Ben then said "Oh sorry, they call me salamancer, it's nice to meet you all." And they sat down to talk.
