I haven't seen the movie in a while, so I'm gonna try my best.

The light streamed in as the redstone lift opened, revealing a man laying inside. His green armor reflected the lanterns shining on him and on the crowd gathered around the top of the shaft. "Looks like we got someone new," a girl with blonde hair stated.

"I can see that, False," whispered a man with brown hair and sunglasses.

"I know you do, Ren."

The man in the green armor slowly shifted, groaning as he opened his eyes. "Wha-what? Who are y-you? Who am I-I?"

"Welcome to the Dungeon. It's one big maze we have to escape, and there are ravagers out there that are trying to eat us. Oh, and my name's Grian." A  T A L L  man standing next to him elbowed the short, red sweater-wearing boy in the shoulder. "What, Mumbo!? Just telling the new guy what to expect."

"We've all lost our memories too. But you're name will come back soon. It's the one thing they let us keep. And the name's Iskall." Iskall stretched out a hand to the new guy.

"I-I... thanks..." Placing a hand on his helmet and lifting it off, he took in a deep breath of air. He noticed some writing on the rim inside the helmet. It read "Xisuma." "I'm pretty sure my name's Xisuma," the new guy announced.

"Welcome to the Dungeon, Xisuma."

"How long have you guys been here?" Xisuma asked.

"It's hard to tell," Doc spoke up. "There's no natural light down here."

"Well, we need to get back to Running," Cleo stated.

"Running?"

"Yeah, 'Suma. Is it ok if I call you 'Suma?" Xisuma nodded. "Ok, well, y'see, Runners go out and try to find the exit, all while memorizing the turns they take. One only got as far as the forest before... before..."

"They were killed," Mumbo said sadly. "Barely any of us knew him. His name was Generik."

"Oh..." Xisuma placed his helmet back on slowly. "What do I need to do to be a Runner?"

"Pffft, you want to be a runner?" Doc joked. "You have to start pulling your weight around this place, first. Only then will we consider you."

Xisuma nodded, quickly placing his helmet back on. "Good," Doc said in a threatening tone.

"Don't go scaring the new guy," Cleo chimed. "Alright, then, let's move these crates to the HQ. Then you Runners go out before feeding time." She motioned to the packages that arrived with Xisuma. "'Suma, follow us."

"I- Ok." He climbed out of the lift, where he had still been sprawled on its floor. "Feeding time?" he asked Cleo quietly.

"Yeah, feeding time. Isn't the name obvious as to what it is?"

A skinny man with glasses and an '@' symbol on his teal shirt, who had been hanging towards the back, spoke up. "When the monsters wake up from their slumber, the beasts come out to play. So you should be safe behind the walls; away."

Cleo rolled her eyes. "Don't mind Joe."

Xisuma stared at the cryptic man as Joe turned away, walking over to what seemed like a fortress. "We going there?"

"We're going there, 'Suma."

-(Time skip brought to you by the fact that I'm too lazy to write out all the training and character development) (a few weeks later)-

Xisuma ran through the forest, a ravager chasing close behind him. He could feel the beast's heavy footfalls send vibrations through the ground. The breath of the beast smelled pungent; the smell of rotten flesh cane out with every huff. Xisuma gasped as he stumbled over a rock, Iskall managing to swipe at the ravager before he could take a bite out of the green-armored man. "T-thanks, man."

"No problem, bro." Iskall sheathed his sword as the ravager fell, its eyes going lifeless. "Good thing the mad man-woman, organization, you get the idea-gave us tools and weapons."

"And food," Xisuma pointed out.

"Oh yes. And enough, too. If we didn't, I bet Mumbo would eat it all in a day!" Iskall chuckled, hands clasped over his stomach. Xisuma shook his head with a smirk on his face. Popping off his helmet, he pulled out a piece of bread and munched on it, Iskall laughing at his own joke as he grabbed a golden carrot.

Xisuma reaches a hand into his inventory and clutched the prized map. It was really only a piece of wrapping paper with lines on it, but those lines equaled all their mapped progress of the Dungeon. And at the moment, the ones trapped in the Dungeon with him were trusting him with their literal lives. You could only last so long underground.

I think I'm going to make this a two-parter; it's rather lengthly so far. It's been really fun to write, and I'm quite enjoying myself.
