November rolled along. It wasn't until Angelina told Cassie that Katie Bell was in the hospital wing for the fifth time that Cassie had a serious talk with her Slytherin team.

It was the day of the beginning of the Quidditch season. Cassie brought everyone on the team to the changing rooms early. As the stands filled with students, they waited in the corner of the pitch. Adrian walked up to Cassie, looking at the area where the Gryffindor team would enter.

"You know, the chance of it being a fair game— "

"Not in the least likely," Cassie finished, nodding. "Yeah, I know. At least I tried."

The Gryffindor team began walking onto the pitch. Cassie led her team to the center. She shook hands with Angelina, both having a raging fire in their eyes, determined to win. They mounted their brooms and as the balls were released, the whistle was blown.

"And it's Johnson — Johnson with the Quaffle, what a player that girl is, I've been saying it for years but she still won't go out with me— "

"JORDAN!" yelled Professor McGonagall.

"Just a fun fact, Professor, adds a bit of interest — and she's ducked Warrington, she's passed Malfoy, she's — ouch — been hit from behind by a Bludger from Sloan. Malfoy catches the Quaffle, Malfoy heading back up the pitch and — nice Bludger there from George Weasley, she drops the Quaffle, caught by Katie Bell. Katie Bell of Gryffindor reverse-passes to Alicia Spinnet and Spinnet's away... "

"You may be his girlfriend— "

"Shut up and just play, weasel!" yelled Cassie.

"... what's that they're singing?"

The song rose loud and clear from the sea of green and silver in the Slytherin section of the stands:

"Weasley cannot save a thing,
He cannot block a single ring,
That's why Slytherins all sing:
Weasley is our King.

"Weasley was born in a bin
He always lets the Quaffle in
Weasley will make sure we win
Weasley is our King."

Cassie couldn't think about it. She had a game to play.

"— and Alicia passes back to Angelina!" Lee shouted. "Come on now, Angelina — looks like she's got just the Keeper to beat! SHE SHOOTS — SHE — aaaah... "

Bletchley, the Slytherin Keeper, had saved the goal. Cassie was reluctant to let him play, but he was better than the rest. He threw the Quaffle to Adrian who sped off with it, zig-zagging in between Alicia and Katie.

Adrian passed Cassie the Quaffle and she caught it with ease. She dodged Angelina heading to the goalposts. She held the Quaffle and beamed it at the hoop.

"— so it's the first test for new Gryffindor Keeper Weasley, brother of Beaters Fred and George, and a promising new talent on the team. Come on, Ron!"

Ron had dived, his arms wide, and the Quaffle had soared between them and straight through Ron's central hoop.

"Slytherin score!" came Lee's voice amid the cheering and booing from the crowds below. "So that's ten-nil to Slytherin. Bad luck, Ron... And Gryffindor back in possession and it's Katie Bell tanking up the pitch— "

Cassie stole the Quaffle from under her arms and dodged a Bludger that had been sent by George Weasley.

"— and it's Malfoy again who passes to Pucey. Pucey's off past Spinnet. Come on now, Angelina, you can take him — Turns out you can't — but nice Bludger from Fred Weasley, I mean, George Weasley. Oh, who cares — one of them, anyway, and Warrington drops the Quaffle and Katie Bell — er — drops it, too — so that's Malfoy with the Quaffle, Slytherin Captain Malfoy takes the Quaffle and she's off up the pitch. Come on now, Gryffindor, block her!"
