"I can't believe this" I muttered.

"Sorry" the girl mumbled, her legs wobbling slightly. 

I stared at her, my hand still clutching hers. She looked at the ground, her long black hair covering her face.

I sighed and  let out a string of curse words out under my breath. 

Should I tell her to leave? 

I heard her sniffle. 

IS SHE CRYING?

"Uh are you alright?" I asked, pushing her hair back from her face.

She looked up at me, her hazel eyes teary.

"Um...I'm sorry. I'm not usually like this" she said, tears falling down her face.

I ran my other hand through my hair before letting go of her hand. 

"I...just sit here, I'm gonna shower again" I said irritated, "there's a water bottle on my desk, you can drink from that".

I walked into my washroom, closing the door and hoping back into the shower.

Fucking Alec and his stupid parties. I can't believe I have to deal with this drunken brat now. 

I took a quick shower and came out the washroom. 

I turned on my bedroom lights and saw the girl wasn't there.

Did she leave?

I felt a soft breeze and I looked over to my balcony and saw her standing there. I walked over to her. 

Her long black hair was fluttering due to the wind and she was staring up at the sky. 

She looks like she's straight out of a movie. 

I walked up to her and stood next to her. 

"What are you doing?" I asked. 

She looked over at me, her eyes were red showing she had cried more after I had went into the shower.

"Just thinking about how beautiful the sky is" she replied. 

My eyes flitted towards the sky. "Yeah, it is. You can't see all the stars due to pollution though" I said. 

"But even though you can't see them, they're still there".

I looked back at her and she was staring up at the sky with a soft smile.

"Yeah" I mumbled. 

As I gazed at her, I couldn't help but feel chills go down my spine. There was something about her that looked cold, something that made it seem that even if she was with you physically, her mind was somewhere else.

I hadn't notice before but she was pretty, a cold beauty.

The word pretty itself wasn't enough to describe her. 

She was beautiful, ethereal.

"I like to think it's the same with my mom. That she's here with me always watching over me but I just can't see her" she said, looking back over to me, her smile sad. 

My eyes widened slightly. I didn't know what to say. 

"I-"

But before I could say anything else, her eyes widened and she turned and vomited again.

"You vomited again?! Jeez, how much did you drink" I exclaimed, walking over to her. 

"Sorry" she mumbled. 

I rolled my eyes and scooped her up in my arms, she didn't protest and let me carry her back into my bedroom and put her on my bed. 

"I'll go get you some more water" I said. 

She didn't reply and curled up, closing her eyes. 

I left my room and went downstairs, there party was still going strong but luckily I found Alec right away.

He was in the living room letting some blond girl grind up on him. 

"Yo Alec, one of your guests passed out in my room. Get her friends to get her" I said, tapping him on the shoulder.

He looked back at me, his eyes widening. He quickly pulled away from the blond girl, who look surprised and looked at me annoyed. 

"Oh shit, I swear I told everyone to not go to your room. I promise I did" he said.

He had a look of slight panic on his face. "Please don't snitch" he pleaded.

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever, I won't tell. Just get her to leave" I said. 

"Yo Claire, have you seen Hira?" a girl with bright pink dyed hair came up to us, calling out to the blond girl.

The blond girl, who had awkwardly been hovering behind Alec, shook her head. 

"I thought she was with you" Claire said.

"Nah I was off playing poker with some other people" Pink Hair said.

"Gia! You said you would keep an eye on her" Claire hissed.

"Well my bad, I got distracted" Pink Hair, Gia, said. 

"Maybe the girl in Luca's room is Hira" Alec said.

"Who's Luca?" they asked.

I sighed. "Me, follow me let's go to my room".

The three of them followed me up to my room and sure enough, the girl who's name I learn to be Hira, was still curled up asleep on my bed. 

"Hira, wake up" Claire said, shaking her shoulder a bit. 

Hira grunted but didn't open her eyes. Gia tried waking her up too but Hira wouldn't budge. 

"Do you think one of you could carry her to my car? I haven't drank at all tonight so we'll just drive home"  Claire said.

I opened my mouth to reply but Alec beat me to it

"Yeah sure" Alec replied, scooping up Hira. 

"Well sorry for the hassle" Gia said to Alec and I.

"No worries" Alec said. I didn't reply and shrugged.

"You promise you won't tell my parents?" Alec asked me.

"Yeah don't worry I won't" I replied. 

He beamed at me, and soon they all piled out of my room.

I sighed and ran my hand in my hair. 

This isn't how I thought I would spend tonight.
