I can't believe he came all the way here just to see if I was okay.
I hugged him tightly, smiling to myself.
He stiffened but soon relaxed and hugged me back.
"Do you want to talk about what happened?" Luca asked.
I pulled away from him. "Nothing really happened..." I said, avoiding his eyes.
Would it be weird to tell him about what happened?
His hand softly touched my cheek and I looked up at him.
"Did something happen with Aaron?" he asked.
I nodded slowly. "He wanted to start dating but I rejected him. It was kind of messy and a lot of yelling and stuff" I said, "I just got very emotional because like I did care about him a lot".
Luca tucked a loose strand of my hair behind my ear and smiled sadly.
"I know it probably hurt to let go of someone important to you but, you did the right thing. You guys were only hurting each other more by continuing that so called relationship" he said.
"You're right. I'm okay now though".
"I'm always here for you, whether as a friend or something more than a friend" Luca said, with a slight glimmer of hope.
BADUMP.
Before I could say anything, we heard Gia yelling.
"Hey aren't you two looking cozy?! Pack it up lovebirds, it's a girls only night!".
I looked up at the house to see Claire and Gia staring at us through Claire's window, smiling widely.
"Oh my god" I mumbled to myself, smiling a bit.
"Sorry Luca! Hira is our's for the night!" Claire yelled.
I heard Luca laughing behind me, and looked back at him.
He smiled widely at me. "Your friends sure are something" he said, laughing.
"I'm sorry you came all the way here only to be sent back" I said, smiling.
He looked at me, his dark brown eyes full of warmth, "It's okay, I'm just glad to see that you're feeling better".
"C'mon Romeo and Juliet! Pack it up, we got things to accomplish tonight!" Gia yelled.
I laughed softly, my heart buzzing with warmth. "I guess I should head back" I said to Luca.
"Yeah, it's good to see that you're laughing and smiling. I was worried about you" he replied.
I felt warmth spread within in me and moved closer to him, softly pecking his cheek.
I pulled away smiling, Luca's cheeks had turned bright pink and his ears were red.
"Um uh what was that for?" he asked, his eyes wide, "Not that I didn't like it, it was just unexpected".
I shrugged. "Just felt like doing it".
"AWWWW".
I looked over my shoulder to see Claire and Gia still watching us, their smiles wide.
"I'm going to head in now, I'll see you tomorrow at school" I said, looking back at Luca.
He nodded, his face still flushed. "A-alright, bye" he said.
I smiled and walked back to the house. Before going in I looked back at him once more to see him smiling goofily like a kid.
