Hira
"Are you okay Hira?" Gia asked, her hand patting my head as we sat together at the sofa.
"Of course I'm okay" I replied, taking a sip of my drink.
Yeah, I shouldn't be upset. It's not like we're dating.
"Mm I don't know you don't seem okay" she said, playing with my hair.
I didn't reply.
Truth was I felt annoyed, embarrassed. However, I knew what I feeling wasn't right, we've always been no strings attached. If he wants to go off with another girl that's fine, we don't owe each other anything.
"I'll get Claire and we can go dance the night away and drink till one of us pukes!" Gia said, getting up.
I didn't even try stopping her as she walked off, disappearing amongst the other sweaty teens.
I leaned back, closing my eyes.
Should I go home?
"Hira?".
My eyes opened and I looked over to see Luca standing in front of me, his face clouded with worry slightly.
Two other guys hovered behind him, looking awkward. I immediately recognized them, Darren and Felix.
"Hi" I said, gripping my drink.
Luca
There was something about her expression that was different than usual, her aloof exterior had a crack in it.
"Um you okay?" I asked.
Before she could answer, Felix cut her off. "Of course, she's okay. Hira is like an expressionless doll as always" he said, winking at her.
I noticed her grip on her cup tightened.
"Yeah I'm alright like always" she said.
"Want to come with us to dance?" Darren asked, stepping up from behind me.
I looked over at him and he smiled slightly at me, before looking back at her.
She downed the rest of her drink before getting up. "Fine".
Felix let out a whoop and the three quickly walked to the makeshift 'dance floor', while I trailed behind them.
Is she really okay?
Hira got another drink as she danced with Felix and Darren. I stood off to the side, watching. Her friends Gia and Claire came up to her, asking her to come with them but she shook her head staying with Felix and Darren.
I looked away, my ears burning up.
Why am I just watching her like some creep? What's wrong with me?
I looked back up at her to see her no longer dancing with Darren and Felix.
I pushed passed people and went up to Darren.
"Where did Hira go?" I asked.
"Drink" Darren replied, dancing with some redhead girl.
I sighed and walked away towards the kitchen but she wasn't there too.
Where did she go?
I walked through the house, trying to find her.
I had a feeling that she was upset. Her eyes had wavered when I had asked her if she was okay.
It probably had something to do with the guy she came with. I felt a twinge of jealously when I thought back to it.
I had seen them come in together, the two of them seemed close, to the point where if you had told me they were dating I'd believe you. But when I saw her again, she was alone.
