"Your Majesty, they have arrive," One of the servants announced, "Your dress has already been prepared.
"Thank you." Yoongi replied, nodding in acknowledgement and asked them to leave. The King got up once the doors were closed and walked towards his changing room. Yoongi slowly removed his clothings. The soft material falling off. He stepped out of the fallen clothes and reached forward the other dress. The pristine, snow white robes tightened around his body. The silvery belt holding everything in place. Upon his command, few servants walked in and helped him with the rest of the attire.
His cascade of flowly white hair was tied up properly in a ponytail. Long hair was a mark of power. And Yoongi till now had achieved enough to make him one of the best kings to ever rule the Kingdom. His crown resting proudly over his head. Another piece of light blue cloth was tied around his forehead to keep his hair from falling over his eyes. Once, Yoongi was dressed properly, the servant bowed and left the room.
As he walked out, he noticed Namjoon waiting for him. Yoongi smiled a little, greeting his friend. Dropping the usual formalities because no one was around. They talked a little, as the King was escorted to main hall.
It was in the middle of the afternoon. The sun high up in the sky. Time had passed and it was the day of the arrival of the mysterious prince. Yoongi wasn't sure of what to expect. He had asked a few questions to his forgein generals, but none of them knew much about the prince.
And the lack of answers about prince, didn't intrigue Yoongi. Instead, it alarmed him. He never liked things he didn't know. And the lack of information about the prince was making him pull up his guard. Even if the prince's father and his father were good friends, he didn't trust their intentions. Their kingdoms were two of the biggest, and richest of all the kingdoms. And after Yoongi had been crowned the king, he had already tackled with betrayal from kingdoms and people who were previously believed to be their allies.
But of course, that didn't mean Yoongi grew suspicious of everyone. But at the same time he was completely foolish to turst the rest of their allies. He only trusted a few people. And knew that those few people would never break his trust. He could stay unbothered, relaxed and completely defenseless in front of those people and still have the faith that they would never stab him behind his back. And he had been proved before.
And of them being, his General Kim Namjoon.
But the prince and his father were not. Even if he knew the King personally and had seen him during officials meets before. There was a difference between trusting someone and being completely foolish. And Yoongi had learned the hard way to differentiate between them.
Yoongi walked in at a slow place. His chin held up high in manner that stated confidence and not arrogance. His back straight and hand behind him. And even though, there was no one around, a King should never be caught without the proper posture. That is what Yoongi has been told since childhood.
As he walked towards his throne, he glanced around. Noticing that the number of guards has been increased as he asked to. He gave an approving nod to his friend. Namjoon stopped walked once they were close to the throne. Yoongi sighed, walking up the podium and sat down with on his throne. His white robe covering what was left of the seat.
Just a second after he sat own, the other officials followed. The actions were so collectively that the sound of sitting down echoed through the silent hall. For the first few minutes, all the generals informed him about the current affairs of his kingdom and the neighboring ones as well.
There was still time left for their royal guests and Yoongi liked to use every single second to his gain. He furrowed his brows a bit hearing the news on the economy. The general seemed worried about it. Yoongi thought about it for a while and answered the queries. He has trained to think in them most effectively yet effecient way.
"Your Majesty" Yoongi turned his attention to Earl, Jung Hoseok.
"Hmm?"
"Your Majesty, if I may ask, why have increased the number of guards around the palace?"
"I'm not very confident of the presence of this new and unknown prince."
"But Your Majesty, what if this offends the prince?"
"Well, the prince isn't aware of the usual security system of my palace, is he?"
Hoseok sighed, and nodded. Bowing to the king, he backed away. Seconds later, a messenger came running into the halls. He stopped a few feet away from the king's throne and bowed.
"Your Majesty, they have arrived" The messenger announced.
And on cue three rows of guard walked into the throne. Followed by a few of Yoong's royal guards. And then dozen men came walking carrying a palanquin on their shoulders. The palanquin was made of ebony and iron. Hidden behind dark curtains. The men stopped right in the middle of the hallway and put down the palanquin.
First, all the gifts brought by the guests were given to the King. Followed by a scroll written by the King, thanking them to let his son visit their kingdom. Then one of the messenger stood up.
"Please welcome!" The guard announced, "Crown prince of MoonLight Kingdom, Park Jimin!"
A minute passed, and all the generals and guards started whispering among themselves. No body had walked out of palanquin. Yoongi furrowed his brows in confusion and motioned Namjoon to check it.
Namjoon nodded and went to check up on the palanquin. He slowly approached the it and asked for the prince. But there was no reply. He hesitated a second before removing the curtains.
"It's empty."
